  • Doug Warne As far as the A/c Heater Blower i would first check the Fuse in the box with a test light, and i would check all the fuses remember you have a battery side and ignition side of the fuse box if the fuse is blow replace with manufacture Amp Fuse and if new fuse shorts then i would look at blower motor draw
    Mar 20, 2014

  • Doug Warne Check your battery Cold Crank Amps with a load test meter most parts store will do for free hoping you will buy a battery and if batter test not good if you choose to not to replace your alternator will be charging constentently and the trio diode board in your regulator located inside the alternator in most applications these days will short then this will cause a battery high amp draw so your battery wont start in the am when your late for work..
    Mar 20, 2014

  • Doug Warne If your battery is loosing charge overnight or anytime you can simply take your negaitive Cable from your batter and put a test light from the negiative cable then touch your neg. terminal and if test light illuminates you have a draw and bad draw so take amp meter and test to see the draw in amps if high amp draw i would first look at the regulator and remove the 12volt singe wire and see if draw disappear if draw is no longer then 99 percent your regulator has shorted

Overheating fast durning idle

hi u need to check over cooling system ie make sure theres no coolant leaks fans are working make sure coolant is flowing to do this have to remove radiator cap but wait till mtr has cooled down & theirs no pressure in the system other wise u can get badly burnt top up radiator with water have mtr idling with cap off see if water flows when motor reaches runing temp if it dosnt possible jamed thermostat or water pump failling or blocked radiator and if their excessive air bubbles or pressure starts blowing water out may have blown head gaskets it may pay to have it check out rember if u try it your self make sure motor is cool down before removing radiator cap good luck

1996 chevy s10 4.3 vortex lifters knocking at start up but goes away after 10 minutes idling. changed oil and filter oil pump reads 58-60psi at idle and seems to be working.

High milage? Try engine cleaner, run for couple hundred miles and then use an additive like Restore. If it's just dirt this may help. Make sure you are using the correct viscosity oil for winter temps. If it's from wear only parts replacement will fix it.

1996 Pontiac Firebird-will not start, when it does, runs rough

Check the fuel pressure at the shredder valve, make sure there is the proper fuel pressure, I think it needs to be between 60PSI to 65PSI but double check that. If the fuel pressure is correct the crankshaft and camshaft sensor send signals to the ECM which trigger the proper injector to pules at the right time. Recap: check the fuel pressure if that is correct, have the car scanned for any DTC codes. Oh and just in case you have no fuel pressure, check the fuse to the fuel pump and fuel pump relay. Keep me posted , be glad to help.

Convertable top wont go down..I hear motor running

Your top motor is in the trunk on the drivers side wall behind the panel. Remove the two screws to remove the cover. Check the fluid level in the reservor. Check that no lines have come off of the pump and have someone pushing the top down button while checking. If this is not the problem, then it is a possibility that the e-brake connection is not working right.
