The firing order is stamped on the block, about in the center, just below the head. It is 1-3-4-2. The cylinders are numbered 1,2,3,4, starting at the front.

Why do i have oil on No 2 sparkplug and what can i do about it?

Hello. It sounds like the car needs help. Yes you might need to do a whole new tune-up. You will need new spark plugs, new spark plug wires and a new distributer. You also should know how old your car is and how much mileage it has and that you might also need to change the fuel filter. Good Luck.

Just follow the pattern as it is under the hood. If you have to, draw a diagram to help you along the way.

1952 12 v Farmall 460 will turn over, but won't get any spark or even try to start. What should I try? Was working find when it was parked last fall.

I believe they have a magneto set up, follow the spark plug wire from the tip to where it goes, if it goes to a cap,, clean the cap contacts, and rotor, but if it goes to a magneto directly,, you need to remove it, and with a fine sandpaper clean both the pick up contacts , and the magnet's spots on the flywheel that it links to, you can use a matchbook for the spacing when you assemble it again, make sure they don't rub together, they need a 0.010- 0.012 gap between them, if after doing this, you still have no spark, you need to replace the magneto

follow the spark plug wires depending on what cylinder it is is depending on how many black wires there are pull the wire that runs into the engine off and the take out spark plug with spark plug socket and remove spark plug. do one spark plug at a time so u do not lose the firing pattern.

1948 ford pic-up no spark engine flat head

Timing controls when spark happens ...it does not make spark. make sure coil and all other ignition trigger devices are good (crank sensor, cam sensor, wiring and pcm) You can get info for tests from inexpensive manuals such as chiltons or haynes and using a digital volt/ohmeter.

Hi,

Depends on what engine is there inside.
1. for the 2.0 4 cylinders, 1-3-4-2;
2. for the 3.4 V6, 1-2-3-4-5-6

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
