Mercedes atego 815 not starting The dashboard it says CODE, and your car will not start

SOURCE: my car won't start there is power on dashboard but

sounds like the starter is bad. try to hit the starter with a hammer - that will free up the starter - then try and start it. if it starts after that then i would replace the starter asap. also make sure the battery has full power - lights dont take as many amps as the starter so you could have lights but not enough to start it.

No idea to be honest last merc truck i worked on was a 1418 some 30+ yrs ago i would imagine you would need the merc dealer to connect it to the internet to put this light out and pay through the nose ,Does it have a OBDII if so try clearing the code faults with a cheap meter

Has a fault code test been run on the powertrain control module? If not do that first.
