Have a copy off the recall information and take it to the Dealer in your area.

Talk to the Service writer and explain your situation.

My 1999 ford explorer's gauge says its overheating but you can open the radiator cap and it was only luke warm just started and drove 1 mile?

It is possible for the engine to be overheating while the radiator seems to be cool. If the thermostat is stuck closed, the water will not circulate to the radiator. Simple check. Remove the thermostat and place it in a pot of water. Heat the water on a stove and observe when or if it opens as the water heats up. If it opens before the water boils, it is good. While you have it out, you might as well replace it anyway.

Gas tank

When you say it only leaks when you fill it up - do you mean WHILE you are at the pump, adding fuel to the tank , or WHEN the tank is full??
If it happens during refueling, the filler neck may have rusted allowing some fuel passing thru it en route to the tank to leak out. The filler neck can be replaced - and may even be subject of a recall. Contact you dealer to make sure it hasn't been recalled for these types of problems before spending *your* money to fix a manufacturer's defect.
Many times, this indicates a tank that has a hole near the top of the tank - which is much better than one at the bottom. There are products - and professionals - that can repair (or replace) these problems / parts. Locating and accessing the hole can be another story however.
Removing the tank for repair / replacement can cause you to incur additional expenses to replace fuel senders, etc. that seem to be fragile enough to break during removal.

Does a water pump on a 2006 Prius that is "leaking" via the weep hole indicate that the pump needs to be changed asap or is this something that should be eventually addressed? BTW: the converter...

Hi, leaking via weep hole indicates the water pump seal is bad....pump is shot. I would consider this an urgent fix. Any coolant leak is an urgent fix......MIke

Is their a recall on 1999 buick regals...if so why,,because my key always get stuck in the ignition and now I always have to jump start my car...

Could be a couple of things. First open up the underside panel on the passenger side, pull out the BCM box and check for corrosion on the pins. Sometime the AC leaks water out here or if the windshield leaks(Condensation or otherwise) it will rust the pins. Remove all corrosion, and it should work fine. After that fix your leak. Clean the trap in the condenser leak hose to ensure the water escapes from now on. If there is no problem there, you will need to replace the lock cylinder.

My 1996 audi A6 has an oil sending unit problem...can you tell me what that might take to fix and why would this show leaking oil? I thought this part was inside the oil pan?

The oil pressure sender unit is located on the oil filter housing. These do tend to leak at times. The warning light for this switch is a red oil can and a buzzer. Replace the switch. If warning light still comes on, have the oil pressure checked. The oil level sender warning light is an orange oil can with oil level under it. This sender is fitted on the bottom of the oil sump and can leak past the seal. If warning light comes on, check oil level. If ok, check for damage to wiring under vehicle. Senders do some times become faulty.

When it rain we get a pool of water in the front passenger foot well. I suspect there is a drain pipe blocked but don't know where to begin looking. Can anyone help solve this water leak problem please....

i wonder if thats not similar to the same problem in the VW Passat ... in that one the "polen filter" chamber leaks water .. the outside air is passed thru the filter before getting into the cab ... the filter chamber has a drain but for some reason overflows .. in that model there is a recall to fix the problem .. of course if the drain is plugged on any car it will do the same thing .. if you havent done so .. try changing the polen filter and observe that there is no blockage ... check for recall ..

Fuel leaks from rear tank to front.

The leaking from one tank to another was covered by a recall from Ford. Not sure if they still foot the bill for installation of the required check valves. These are still available from the dealership. The rear one is the hardest to install. The check valve can be installed without pulling the rear tank. As for your front sender I would clean all of the connections to the sender and make sure it has a decent ground. If it still only reads at the 1/4 tank level you will have to replace the sender to rectify the problem.
