SOURCE: How to remove rear light cover to change bulb

298002.jpg 1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable. 2. Open the liftgate to access and remove the two push-pins (3) that secure the rear lamp unit (1) to the side jamb (2) of the liftgate opening. 3. Pull the outboard side of the rear lamp unit rearward far enough to unsnap the two ball studs on the outboard side of the lamp housing from the two plastic grommets (6) in the quarter outer panel. 4. Pull the lamp away from the vehicle far enough to access and disengage the retainer on the body wire harness (4) from the tab on the lower lamp housing. 5. Disconnect the body wire harness connector from the pigtail wire connector (5) on the back of the lamp housing. 6. Remove the lamp from the lamp opening of the quarter outer panel.
Hope this helps.

How do i take back driverside brake light cover off to replace turn signal bulb its a 2007

first find your owners manual, it will have specifc instructions. generally speaking you access the rear of the light assembly, pull the sockets out to change the bulbs. examine the electrical connections of the bulb closely and replace with the exact same bulb. there are two sockets in there which look the same but take entirely different bulbs.

How do i change rear turn signal bulb

I just watched the service station replace the rear turn signal bulb of our 2008 Enclave in about 5 minutes for $30! He opened the tail gate door, there were two small squares in the black lighting panel trim that he popped open. Inside each was a screw that he removed. This enabled him to remove the whole lighting panel. He then twisted the bad bulb and removed it and replaced with a new one. He checked that it was working then popped everything back into place added the screws and closed the squares back up. DONE!

How do you properly remove cover to change

The directions for changing the headlight light bulb in all cars are near to same . but all car models are not the exact same, so there may be a few differences based on your particular car. But this.instructions may properly guide you about the directions to replace the head light bulb in your car.
The instructions are as follows :----
1) First of all open the hood of your car and put a spot light or flash light onto the back of the headlight. Look towards the far corner side of the hood, the headlight is located in a space mounted to the far sides.
2) In some of the car models there is a back cover for which you will require a screwdriver to unscrew the back plate to reach to the bulb. properly locate the screws and unscrew the screws using the proper size screwdriver.
3) Then remove the back plate.

Note: In some car models there will be a wiring component connected usually by plastic clips, so detach the plastic clips and then pull wiring to the side. Then remove the back plate.

1) Remove the Old Light bulb which will be easily visible. Then remove old light bulb by screwing it to the left slowly and carefully.
2) You can get the new light bulb from local auto store and purchase the bulb exactly that matches the one your car model .
3) Then insert the new light bulb in reverse by screwing to the right, and secure in place confirm bulb is properly connected and fitted and not remained loose.
4) To test whether the bulb is properly connected. Just try turning on headlights and make sure it lights up.

5) Then plug wiring component back in if your model has that. Then put backplate back in place , then insert the screws back in and screw in with screw driver tightly.
6) Then close the hood properly and check out head light again.it will work properly.
That means your work is done.
This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

The rear cargo light won't turn off. This happened after I replaced a rear turn signal tail light bulb and a fuse for the horn. (These went out at the same time.) When the blinker light and horn were...

Hello! The instigator of this problem appears to be the the rear cargo lamp; Official name is rear dome light. You'll need a multimeter set on the X10 ohm scale to shoot this trouble. Leave the rear dome light bulb out. There are two switches involved; #1 the rear dome light on/off. #2 the right hand front door switch.

Pull the horn fuse out, remove the rear dome light cover, drop the rear dome light down to access the wiring and close all doors on the vehicle. Connect one lead of the ohm meter to the white wire and the other to body ground. If you read any resistance one or both of the two switches (dome light switch or right hand front door switch) is remaining closed when all doors are closed. Next disconnect the black lead from the dome light switch and see if reading changes to zero. If it does this is indicating that the dome light switch is defective. If it does not, disconnect the right hand door switch and take another reading at the same location. If you still measure any resistance, the black wire of the rear dome light is shorted to ground, if not then the right hand door switch is the culprit.

The reason the right hand door switch and not the left hand door switch is involved is the fact that opening the left front door would turn on the front dome light as well as the rear light. If both dome lights are staying on with all doors closed I would then involve both door switches in this test procedure. If your vehicle is a four door model then disconnect one door switch at a time while performing this test procedure.

The horn fuse also supplies power to the rear dome light, and I suspect the two events are related.

How to get to stop light in back window of 95 lincoln cont. Bulb is burnt out. do we change from trunk side or inside of car? also have a problem with interior lights staying on for a long time after car...

First, the stop light bulb is accessible from inside the car. The cover can be removed by pressing down on the center of the unit and pull back toward the front of the car. Once off, you will have access to the bulb itself

You have a sticky door switch. Apart from replacement, best course of action is to spray the switch (all throughout the inside of the door/lock) with WD-40. Since you're unsure which switch is sticking, repeat this procedure on all doors. Once thoroughly lubricated, open and close the doors several times. This should fix your sticky switch problem.. Best of luck.
