Here is a great site to inquire from and a direct link to your cooling system components.

Your overheat symptoms could be related to the water pump, radiator efficiency or a simple lack of coolant.

1991 Isuzu Trooper overheats after 30 minutes of driving

Without knowing anymore, My guess would be thermostat. However, do you know if an adequate amount of antifreeze or water is currently in the radiator? Is there any antifreeze in the reservoir? Have you noticed any leaks under the vehicle?

Overheating kubota b7800

thermostat or clogged radiator you would see the water pump leaking go to the water pump and try to move the pulley back and forth take the belt off and check for free turning no grinding I'm pretty sure the thermostat's closed but the belt could be slipping to so check the tension on it if its to loose it will slip and not rotate the water pump pulley at the proper rpm's

How do I know if my thermostat is bad on my 1995 tahoe

About all a bad thermostat can do is get stuck open or get stuck closed. If stuck closed, engine will overheat-coolant can't circulate through the radiator.
If stuck open, will take a long, long time for engine to reach normal operating temperature-about 20-30 minutes driving or more.

Should 2.7 overheat with rad cap off??

it can run hot with cap off due to the pressure needed to open the thermostat, but it would take about 20-30 minutes for it to run hot. if engine is running hot really fast, check for stuck thermostat or blown headgasket. also check the cooling fans operation.

I have a 2005 impala it blows cold air only.the thermostate is set at the hottest setting.i dont think its the heater core because it does not overheat and its not leaking antifreeze.what could it be?

It's more than likely the thermostat. If you have a 3800 V6 this is a very quick and easy fix. It you have a 3400 engine, this can be a pretty frustrating job. The bolts that hold the thermostat housing on are very difficult to get at on a 3400 engine. Either way, the thermostat itself is only $10-$12.

If your thermostat is stuck open the engine coolant will constantly circulate and won't warm up to normal operating temperature. Since it isn't warming up, you won't have any heat inside either.

Over heating

Yes. It could be several things: a)water pump defective b)radiator core blocked or grille restricted c)electric coolant fan inoperative or blades broken d)thermostat faulty e)radiator cap not maintaining proper pressure. Good luck!
