Show vaccum lines for purge valve solenoid for egr

the purge valve doesn't have anything to do with the EGR so I don't know what you want? there should be a black plastic line with a green cap on it, follow that line to the purge valve near the intake manifold.

I cant find the EGR valve on my 1998 Ford Contour SE. Supposed to be on the intake manifold but I dont see it anywhere. Also should be a line to it from the exhuast manifold but I dont see one. Engine is...

It has to have a tube or pipe going to it
from the exhaust manifold

It has to have vacuum hoses going to it
That is a dead give away

It could have a wiring harness connected to it.

As you said it has to let exhaust gases into the intake

Look for a picture on the internet or ask a neighbor
to show you

On a 1998 ford contour what is the line that run from the intake to break booster

This is the vacuum line that boost the pressure you apply to the pedal. In other words, without this line you do not have power brakes.

1998 dodge ram error code 1494 check engine light on and poor gas mileage

Check all tubing and junctions for leaks in the fuel evaporation control system. The ECU has detected an issue with intake manifold pressure and is indicating that fuel vapour recovery system is perhaps to blame. Sometimes this can be connected to a fault in the manifold differential pressure circuit which lies on the vacuum line leading to the EGR valve. Also quickly check that the EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve is OK by connecting and reconnecting its vacuum line and listening to engine note changes. No engine note change indicates the EGR is probably jammed shut with exhaust crud and needs a general clean up. Sometime these codes detect the symptom and not the cause so you just have to work your way back and eliminate what it might be.

1998 saturn s2 wagon revs high and then shuts off

Most likely you have a leak, its either a vaccum leak (could be the intake manifold, or most likely it is just a PCV Line, these are hoses leading from the Head cover to the intake manifold) or leaking EGR (exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve.

98 ford ranger xl 2.5 liter

did you check to make sure everything is plugged in like for instance the tps(throttle position sensor)? did you plug the temp sensor(it's on the intake near the thermostat housing)?did you somehow disconnect a vaccum hose to the intake(check the EGR valve)? check to make sure all your plug wires are on tight. keep me posted
