    24 Hrs. later //
Just did drivers door power latch on a 1999 Buick Park Avenue // It is impossible to get to the latch out, without taking the glass & the complete power window regulator assembly out. On an original 1999 Park Ave. back glass guide track is mounted to regulator assembly & double clipped to latch with a wiring harness shield. trying to replace latch on this specific car driver door is totally impossible and waste on time to do any other way. Been a mechanic for numerous years. Just never did this style of car before. Just wanted you to know because I just did one.
    Thanks for help anyway's
Would not recommend this job to an amateur mechanic

1985 Buick Park Avenue rear passenger Power window not Working hear no noise from motor all other windows work

Make sure the door switch works both on the drivers door and the rear door first. Then see if there is voltage present at the switch. Sometimes a bound up window regulator will cause this.

I installed a new door handle on my 2000 park ave and the door still doesn't open. is it the door latch now?

In order to put your new door handle on your vehicle you have to take the inner panel off, then disconnect the screws and pins to replace. Be sure to put everything back the way it was so you don't get any rattles.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How to change a voltage regulator for 95 Buick Park Avenue

The voltage regulator is built in to the alternator. It's better to replace the whole alternator then to just replace the regulator. The regulator and other parts like the bearing all have about the same amount of life time, unless the battery is weak which can put extra taxes on the regulator. Good luck and hope this helps.

Need to replace rear brake light on a 1999 Buick Park Avenue. How do I remove the plastic lenses or assembly?

you will need to open the trunk and remove the carpet covering the inside where the tail lights are, find 2 or 3 nuts which are probably 8 or 10 mm,so use a socket and ratchet, remove the nuts and pull the tail light asembly out from the back and you will find the tail light bulb sockets. release the little latch/lock clips while turning the socket assembly about 1/4 turn counter clockwise and you can check each bulb. watch where the wire harness for each socket and also the tail light assembly is so you dont pinch or damage the wires when putting the tail light assembly back in. your owners manual may also give you these instructions and will tell you the correct bulbs to use for tail, brake and turn signal lights.

Replace window switch assembly in drivers door?

Most cars have almost the same procedure in replacing the assembly. Remove the door cover by removing the clips around it. Once removed, remove the wiring connectors. You should have access to the bolts, which you should remove in order to take the assembly out. Do the reverse in putting the new one back in.

Windows and locks don't work BUT THE DRIVER'S DOOR in 1999park av

You may have gotten water and/or ice down into the controls in the door. Replacing expensive (several hundred dollars) modules might solve the problem. When the weather wams up it might go away on its own. I avoid opening my windows in the winter now that I know my Park Avenue is susceptible to the problem.
