I have a 1977 Porsche. However, the engine has been changed. how do I find out what year the engine is?

There should be number stamped somewhere on the block. Most Porsche enthusiast sites will be able to reference the number to the year. Once you find the number post it on a Porsche blog. Check your owner's manual for the placement of the engine number
