Fuel pump relays are a common problem with Hondas. I would check the fuel pressure when it won't start. You may also have a problem with the fuel filter or the pump. There is a long list of possibilities. Is the check engine light on ?
Check the main relay. I know they were prone to going out in older Civics Hit up honda-tech.com for more guidance on where the main relay is in that car
I had the same issue happening with my 92 accord lx. I replaced the main relay and the issue was resolved... Was it the relay under the dash and hidden by the cruise control box you replaced? It is located under the drivers side dash, tucked WAY up there behind the cruise control box. This relay controls both the spark delivery AND the fuel pump.
If this IS what you replaced, it is more than likely still an electrical issue since the syptom only occurs when it is hot. This means an electrical connection is expanding and not connecting when it is hot. If the relay was replaced, it is possible the ECU may be having issues.
have you tested for main power to the fuel pump relay and checked the main fuse???
this is a very common honda fault over in newzealand where im from..having owned a few myself i have come accross, this generally the relay though.. but if you have a good fuse supplying power to relay its the relay or wiring..if not , trace from fusebox back to ecu by passengers foot well....i cant quite remember what pin number is the fuel power but i know it only runs piggy back to ecu so ecu doesnt control it ... try this if no luck try auto sparky
check if its getting spark if it is i would check the main relay very common problem .if no spark then i would check the ignition ignitor located in the distributor one last thing to check would be the ignition switch
