How to fix code p2000 NOx absorber below treshold

code p 200 refers to two operations
1---nitrogen oxides (N)x) trap, bank 1---efficiency below threshold====causes --NOx trap
2--engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor---circuit malfunction===causes wiring short to positive---short to ground---open circuit ---ECT sensor ---ECM
you will have to test both the trap and the coolant sensor to find which is causing the code

Need to fix my 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 dually,6.7 Cummings diesel, check engine light code P2002

P2002 - Diesel Particulate Filter Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)
Description: The powertrain control module(PCM) monitors the efficiency of the diesel particulate filter for a concern. The efficiency of the filter is determined by the amount of restriction in the filter for a certain exhaust flow rate. The diesel particulate filter is preconditioned for 5,000 km (3,107 miles) before the PCM begins to monitor the level of restriction. The test fails when the measured level of restriction is less than the expected level calculated by the PCM. Possible Causes:
  • Dirty air cleaner element
  • Recent manual or thorough diesel particulate filter regeneration
  • Aftermarket accessories and performance modifications
  • Modified tailpipe
  • Exhaust leaks before or near the diesel particulate filter pressure sensor
  • Leaks in the diesel particulate filter pressure sensor connecting hose
  • Damaged diesel particulate filter
Diagnostic Aids: Check for leaks in the exhaust system. Check for aftermarket exhaust accessories and performance modifications that decrease the exhaust restriction. If a new diesel particulate filter was recently installed, verify the diesel particulate filter parameter reset procedure was carried out.

P2082 particulate mter differential pressure sensor

on some diesels there is what they call a particulate filter in front of the catalytic converter which has a sensor on it to measure when there is too much pressure. that tells them that it is time to do a clean out or replacement of the filter. if a cleanout is an option with yours, you will have to do it at the dealer. it's a process initiated with the factory diagnostic tool where the mixture is leaned out and the idle raised to about 3k for close to a half hour in order to raise the exhaust temperature and clean out the filter

What does code p2459 mean?

Causes
- Exhaust leak
- Improperly installed or loose Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT)
- Low engine compression
- Corroed fuel injector
- Water in the fuel system
_ fuel filter or water seperator fouled.
When is the code detected?
The P2459 will set if the Engine Control Module (ECM) detects that the average time between completed regenerations is less than a calibrated threshold.
Symptoms- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
P2459 Description The particulates in the exhaust gases are collected by the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). When the filter becomes saturated with particulates, they are incinerated by a regeneration process. The regeneration process increases the exhaust gas temperature, warning the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) first, the warning the DPF. The Engine Control Module (ECM) monitors the system with inputs from two Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) sensors 1 and 2 and the exhaust differential pressure sensor.

P2002 particulate trap below threshold bank 1 what is the solution

Look in the owners manual on who to do a "forced" or "manual" regeneration, if this does not work, you will need to remove the particulate trap, also called a DPF, and have it cleaned. Contact the nearest Navistar heavy truck dealer to find who can clean the filter.

The check exhaust filter light came on in my 2007 GMC Sierra truck 2500 duramax. I do not have the owners manual but I know the dealer will just reset the computer in the truck. How can I reset it myself?

There is a procedure for your exhaust system. Its called Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Regeneration. Your dealer will have to do this for you. The particulate filter is in the exhaust system. It traps large carbon particulates so they don't get out into the air. The system is designed to take care of itself but does need to be done by someone with a tech2 scanner.
