P0236 = Possible causes are

1. Boost pressure sensor harness is open or shorted
2. Boost pressure sensor circuit poor electrical connection
3. Faulty boost pressure sensor
4. Faulty Turbo/Super Charger
5. Engine over temperature
6. Ignition misfire exceeds the threshold
7. Faulty Knock sensor (KS)

P0046 = Turbo/Super Charger Boost Control Solenoid Circuit Range/Performance

.... based on this information I would replace the turbo boost control solenoid first.

Where do I start with the array of fault codes on my 2010 opel astra 1.4t?I have cleaned the sensors and checked wiring. Are there separate issues here or could it just be the one sensor?

P0520 is low oil pressure and all the rest are codes generated by air pressure irregularities within the turbo and air intake pressure.

What would cause a p0236 code to continually go off even after knock sensor has been replaced twice?

Is there a knock in the engine? If the motor rattles, the knock sensor will think its pinging and retard the timing to compensate. This will set the code.

code p0045 refers to turbo/super charger boost control solenoid---circuit open causes ==wiring--boost control solenoid
p0046 refers to turbo/ super charger boost control solenoid--circuit range/ performance===causes ---wiring---boost control solenoid ---mechanical fault.
code refers to system voltage --low===causes wiring---poor connection---battery---alternator
it also refers to ECM power relay control--circuit open===causes -wiring --- ECM relay.
looks like 2 boost solenoids and I would ensure that the battery posts and terminals are shiny clean and tight. have a load test done on the battery to check for bad cell and check the alternator drive belt for condition and tension . Have an out put test done by an accredited auto electrician on the alternator

P0046 fault code for toyota fortuner

Diagnostic Test Code (DTC) P0046 is defined by SAE J2012 as "Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Control "A" Circuit Range/Performance".

Please note that this is a CIRCUIT code. This means that the electrical circuit for your boost control is not operating within its designed "window of operation". The circuit must be properly diagnosed to determine the actual CAUSE of this code setting.

Specific vehicle/circuit information, as well as proper testing equipment and techniques will be required.

  • P0171 System too Lean (Bank 1)
  • P0237 Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
  • P0101 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Range/Performance Problem
  • i would start, given these codes, to look around the air duct assembly for signs of cracks or disconnected hoses resulting in a vacuum leak.
