I have a 2007 Highlander Hybrid.. I am wondering if I can charge the regular battery with jumper cables and another car? The regular battery is different than the hybrid batteries, correct?

Correct, two batteries. Once your vehicle is jumped and started, the alternator will charge all the batteries, so just take it for a 30 minute highway run. Your larger Hybrid battery bank should be fully charged by plugging it in.

All vehicle owners should have a 10 amp battery charger.

Toyota prius 2005 shows up problem after scan its code P0A0D

the only P0A0D codes in the autodata book have a-350 or 351 in the code
both refer to the hybrid battery pack--high voltage fuse--circuit high=== causes wiring--connections--hybrid control module --hybrid battery pack---high voltage fuse --inverter/ converter
following work on the engine check all connections
if that code is not relevant you may have to get it from a service dealer to find out the causes of the code

Pulled orange off hybrid battery system in trunk to have a look then put it back. Now I get a ECB fault & Check Hybrid System alarm on the dash and it won't start. I only looked at it.

That orange cover on the connection has a lever on it that needs to be pushed up. Once this is done the car should start. Then you need to turn it off, then on and off three times to get the check hybrid warning to go away.

Mercury marnier won't start

Yes, you can jump start this hybrid. Connect cables the same as a non hybrid. something was probably left on and killed the battery. Make sure the battery cables are tight on the battery.

New battry keeps running down

If your battery runs down when the car is off and not running, then you probably have a 12volt drain
killiongthe battery. If your problem occurs even when the car is being driven and used, then your alternator may be the culprit, it may not be charging enough. Attach a voltmeter across the + and - battery terminals. Start the car and let it idle without any accessories on. If you get a reading somewhere between 13.75 - 14.75 volts, your alternator is ok.
To check for a 12volt drain, disconnect the negative battery terminal and slowly scrape it on
the negative battery post 3-4 times. If you see any light to medium sparking as you do that, you probably have a 12volt drain killing the battery. BTW, don't be afraid of being shocked, no chance of that. This is extremely light voltage we're taking about here. Any 12volt drain is best left to a professional to trace down. Oh yes, a defective new battery is possiblity, but highly unlikely.
