Changed battery on my key fob and it won't work

What is year--make--model?
The key fob is a transmitter so there has to be a receiver in the vehicle. At the moment, I can't tell if problem with transmitter or receiver? Can you try a different key fob? Where applicable, if key fob needs to be programmed, maybe the info is in your owners manual?

My Ford Focus car doesn't centrally lock anymore, I have to use the key. It's not the fob battery because I changed it.

Sure you did put in a new battery? sure you did insert it correct? not the other way around? sure you did use the correct battery? like CR23 or AAA?
Sure all contacts in the battery compartment and on the battery are clean and shiny?
just a few things you could check.

Remote control transmitter is good ,the receiver not working what can i do ?

Did you recently change the transmitter/ bought a new one, changed the battery? How did the problem start? Was it sudden or did the receiver die over a period of time?
Is is possible that the receiver is not recognizing the transmitter's signal. Do you have a spare transmitter? Is the spare transmitter also not working? Please give more information.

Key fob batt low message.how can I delete this messagr 2007 saturn aura.

Hello: When you replace the battery in the key fob the message will go away. Put the same battery in and put it in the transmitter the same way the old one came out. when you separate the transmitter to change the battery do not touch any of the electronics in the transmitter as you may destroy the transmitter.

Remote door transmitter is not working. Changed the battery.....still nothing.

does the 2nd transmitter work

if no, then your receive may have failed

if you don't have a 2nd transmitter, then you need to take your vehicle in for service and either have the failed parts replaced or best case, have the transmitter or receive reprogrammed

Having issues getting the garage door opener to work after expecting the code

Are you having problems while using the remote transmitter, but not the local control? Try changing the battery in the remote unit. If the battery is new, the transmitter may be drifting it's output frequency somewhat causing poor execution. Do you have two transmitters and one works better than the other? Either have the poor transmitter checked by the dealer or buy a new transmitter--whichever is cheaper. Hope this helps!

Key fob

THESE ARE INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE OWNERS MANUAL:
To replace the battery:
1. Twist a thin coin between the two
halves of the remote entry
transmitter near the key ring. DO
NOT TAKE THE FRONT PART OF
THE REMOTE ENTRY
TRANSMITTER APART.
2. Remove the old battery.
3. Insert the new battery. Refer to
the diagram inside the remote entry
transmitter for the correct orientation of the battery.
4. Snap the two halves back together.
Note: Replacement of the battery will not cause the remote transmitter
to become deprogrammed from your vehicle. The remote transmitter
should operate normally after battery replacement.
FixYa.com claims they have factory repair manuals, they have nothing of the sort, this is not to say some experts may have manuals, we do, but we work from home and in most cases have a small library. Experts are not employed by FixYa.com, we help free of charge as much as we can with the general automotive knowledge we have learned while working as auto technicians, specific test values, repair procedures and illustrations are unique to each car line, these are not in most cases available to us. Keyless Entry Key Doesn't Work

Regarding the remote transmitter issue: Take the remote transmitter to your Toyota dealer. Ask them to test your transmitter with their hand-held RF detector. All Toyota dealers are required to have one of these devices. The RF detector will test the remote to see if it is indeed transmitting the proper RF out of the transmitter, and the strength of the RF signal. If there is no signal, the remote has failed (unfortunatly common), and the remote will need to be replaced and reprogrammed to the vehicle. I do this quite regularly, and rarely do I tell customers taht they need to spend 800 dollars for such a simple diagnosis/fix. The keyless system is very reliable. I rarely change the ECU for the keyless, unless somebody somehow gets the ECU wet, then it def needs replaced. Hope this helps.
