That all depends on the make, model and engine type and size, none of which you have provided.

SOURCE: PO137, PO 138 codes

well on my car these are reffering to the sensors in the exhaust, the upstream sensor(before the cat) and the downstream sensor(after the cat) the downstream sensor can act up if it is lazy or sluggish, or due to a bad catalytic converter or a clogged one. however there are sensors on the exhaust manifold which are determined by driver side or passenger,my opinion is to get a scanner for about $100 to $150 and you can figure out many of these codes yourself.

Bank 2 on Audi A6 is the left side bank of cylinder block. In other words driver's side cylinder bank for Left Hand Drive (LHD) vehicles. For Right Hand Drive (RHD) vehicles bank 2 is the passenger's side cylinder bank.

Where is bank 1 sensor 1on the SC400. Is it on the driver side or passenger side?

Bank 1 is always the bank where cylinder No. 1 is, or in this case, the driver's side (left) bank, and Bank 2 is the opposite (right) bank.

Whats the difference between up and downstream sensor on a chevy s10 1997, what exact sensors do i need for bank 1 and bank 2 sensor1

Well upstream from the Catalatic Converter means towards the engine and that would be the location for Sensor #1 on both sides of the engine. And Downstream would be away from the engine past the Catalatic Converter For Sensor #2 on both sides of the engine. Bank 1 or Bank 2 would indicate which side of the engine the trouble is on. ( Bank #1 is the side of the engine that contains #1 Cylinder. Please remember if you are going to change one 02 Sensor then you should change all of them and be sure to clear all codes after all repairs are finished. that will turn the check engine light off. Good Luck and have a good XMASS.

The driver side is bank 1, and the passenger side is bank 2 .The foreward one in the pipe coming from the driver side is bank1 sensor 1, the rear sensor for the driver side is bank 1 sensor 2 . The other side would be the same, but bank 2. Good luck...
