Do you still have the ignition key and will the ignition key cylinder switch turn? If so, you turn the key to Run, press the button on the bottom of the steering column that's accessible once the shroud is removed, then pull the key and cylinder switch out of the column.

If you no longer have a working key, then things get a bit more tricky.

I don't recall what year Ford started using the PATS system, but if your 1995 has PATS you'll need to have the PATS module reprogrammed to the new key before the car will start.

89 ford bronco 5.8l the car will not start by turning the key but all the electrical will work and I can start my car by jumping the solenoid switch.I have replaced the ignition switch, key tumbler, and...

Try starting the vehicle in Neutral. If it starts and jumps from the solenoid mounted on the firewall then there is either a circuit break or the neutral safety switch is faulty or the cable is maladjusted

I need to replace a '95 Ford Bronco ignition switch - know of any on-line resources with step-by-step instructions?

This one is pretty easy. just unscrew the philips screws under the key area I think there are 3 or mebe 4. then remove the plastic cover. insert your existing key, turn the key 1 click and press the release button on the bottom then pull the key, the entire lock will come out, insert the new one and put it all back together.

My 1989 ford bronco 4x4 full size, the ignition key wont turn at all,so because its locked up i cant replace key and tumbler from the outside,Is it possible to fix from the inside.

Try spraying brake clean or something to break up the dirt in the tumbler. It is probably gummed up from years of use. If you can free up the pins and springs in the tumbler it will turn. If not you will have to drill it out. Good luck.

The ignition switch is damaged and I need to replace it. Someone attempted to drill it out and the drill broke off in the lock, so the key can no longer be inserted.

Do not drill out there is a pin hole in the side of the switch visible after removing the covers around the swithch you may need to remove the steering wheel I never had to turn the ignition swith to on position and then put a pin or small drill bit in the pin hole push in on it and then simultaneously pull out on the chrome key tumbler wiggle it abit while pushing in on the bit to remove center tumbler assembly/contacts.

Ignition switch

Whoa....first, the ignition swith is not a part of the tumbler. you went in to far. replace the switch and put the brass gear on the tumbler. slide the tumbler out and install the keeper. the tumbler needs to be in the "on" position..
