Hello, I just bought a 2002 dodge caravan se and my boyfriend tried to put motor oil in it because the light inside was on but he put alittle to much and it just reached the m on the max marking, now I'm...

If the oil is on the max mark then that is ok for it to be there but if you are still worried then remove the sump drain plug gently and drain off just a little bit. Personally the max mark is a better place to have the oil level than the L- min mark

I need a diagram of the engine timing marks for a 1995 S10 Blazer. Can anyone provide?

Hello Friend:

Yes i can tell you how to set your Timing Marks.

Your Top Gear the Cam Shaft Sprocket you want the timing Mark you'll want it to be Pointing Down .it won't be completly straight Down but Very close to it.

You'll want your Lower Sprocket (Crank Shaft) Point Upward .Until both Cam And Crank Shaft Marks Ar Directly in Line with the Other.

As Long s you Have those 2-Marks Meeting Straight Across from each Other,You will be Set t Top Dead Center.

Meaning the your number 1- Piston Should be up and on the Compression Stroke, Not on the Power Stroke but Compression.

Either Way Sir if you got em Lined up like I was talking About you'll be Fine.

This will get your Timing Gears Lined up Properly,.

Thank You Sir for Using Fixya Please let me know the Quality of my Solution by Voting for me.

Thanks Again From d_hubbs

Need to now where timing marks are located on 1997 chrysler sebring coupe 2.5Ljust replaced waterpump & timing belt and car will not start I didnot turn crank or cams when rplacing belt

Hello carolnaes: My name is Roger and I will help. The picture of the timing marks are attached. I will caution though that Mitchell repair calls this a interference motor. Meaning if the engine turns over with the belt off. The valves of the engine can and may be damaged. I also checked All Data and they said it could possible cause valve damage. Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the quality of your answer. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger39f6dc5.jpg

Where can i find the timing marks on 1998 ford escort zx2 ?

Hello pamgolmon: My name is Roger and i will answer your question. The 2-0 dual cam engine is a interference engine. This means if the engine jumps time at the timing belt. It will bend the valves. As for the timing marks on the camshafts. Their are no marks to be located. To set the timing marks on this engine requires special tools. This makes it expensive for not only the do it yourself mechanic but also the repair shops also. If the valves were bent you must pull the head for the repairs also.
I know this is not the answer you were hoping for but it is the only answer to give. Please rate the quality of the answer as this way we know your answer was correct. Please just ask if you need further help. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger
