Reverse light and brake light not working

More than likely you have blown some fuses.. the reverse light and brake light fuses are located in the under hood fuse/relay block is located near the battery in the engine compartment.Lift the cover for access to the fuse/relay block. You will see fuses to the top right of the fuse/relay block once you remove the cover. These are geneallay spare fuses stored in that location. You can remove fuses with a fuse extractor. The fuse extractor is located in the fuse/relay block itself ...and looks like a pair of cheap plastic tweezers (lol). Ok if you look at the lid of the fuse compartment it shows the location of the fuses... you need to look the location marked STOP LP, CHMSL, VEH STOP, and TRL B/U. Those 4 control the lights in question. I would pretty much guarantee that at least 2 of them are blown. If you replace them and they blow again... that means you have an "short" or overload problem... just contact me again and I will tell you how to fix that. I hope that helps you. Good Luck

Where are the fuses located on the 2000 Blazer S10 4-wh dr? Brake lights (stop light

Hi,
You have a 10-amp mini fuse in the fuse box under the hood in the engine bay fuse block. And you also have a fuse in the RH lower corner for the stop lamps which is a 20 amp fuse.
Check these and let me know.
THanks
Jason

How to out fuses in

Open the fuse panel located to the left hand side of the instrument panel. Locate the fuses numbered "3," "7," and "21." The "3" fuse is the left-hand stop light fuse, "7" is the right-hand stop light fuse and "21" is the hazard light fuse. Replace any of the fuses if the metal inside the fuse is broken. The "3" and "7" both use 7.5 A fuses and the "21" uses a 15 A fuse. Use your index finger and thumb to remove and replace the fuse. Close the fuse panel. If your lights are still malfunctioning, the wiring should be checked.

Stop light fuse , can't find it (galant 2000)

hi from uk may i suggest you check out the brake lights switch ? it has a plunger that when b/pedal is pressed the plunger moves out then makes the circuit that puts b/lights on this switch is plastic and it is prone to dust and actually dust creates friction on plunger then plunger sticks in and lights are in op ? if you look under dash where b/pedal pivots you will see switch the plunger should move when pedal pressed ? if not then use WD40 SPAY OR SIMILAR to ease plunger you can twist plunger to+fro to free it or unscrew switch from its location after unplug wires/socket hope this helps ?

2003 silverado 1500 v-6 brake lights dont work

ljones, Did you check the "VEH stop" fuse in the left side instrument panel fuse box. There are 3 stop light fuses, 1 for all the stop lights located in the under hood fuse box. 2 in the left side IP fuse box. 1 for the upper stop light and 1 for the lower stop lights. The fuse box in the IP is where the upper and lower stop lights split. Let me know.
