The following are the general instructions on the start of diagnosing any electronically controlled engine or transmission problem.

The engine and the automatic transmission (transmission control is only for automatics, engine is still computer controlled no matter the transmission type) in this vehicle are computer controlled and in most cases when a fault occurs a fault code is stored in the memory of the computer control module. There are exception to this, such as the Mass Airflow Meter and fuel pressure problems. What must be done is to have all the basic testing done such as a scan of the system for fault codes as well as a check with a live data scanner tool for engine functions that are not within range of normal, a trained technician is required to know what is correct and what isn't, then based on careful diagnostics done from a factory repair manual the correct part is replaced or the wiring repaired or the computer replaced (known as the PCM or ECM,ECU), which is very rarely the problem. Other basic checks must be done as well such as mechanical problems with the engine as well as engine state of tune and mileage on the engine. The transmission can have mechanical issues as well such as no gear engagement at all or a failed pump or other pressure related problems. Also engine mechanical problems can and do cause many drive-ability related problem such as rough idle and other symptoms.

Removing turbo from audi tt 225 quattrro

Yep, it is possible to get turbo off without pulling engine. I had a TB break at 85000 miles and did the repair at home (2 bent exhaust valves, 1 intake valve). Getting the turbo disconnected from the exhaust manifold was the single toughest part of this repair. It is attached with 3 reduced head socket bolts (appear to made from stainless steel). Eventually had to drive out one of the bolts...

I have a 2001 Volvo S40 Turbo. Several months ago, My cars turbo didnt seem to be working. and the car was spitting and sputtering. I had the codes checked and found a misfire on Cyl 1 and 2. Or possible...

Replace the mass air flow meter.Thats the sort of problem you will get when its faulty. And this should be changed every 90.000.I think your fuel consumption has gone up aswell due to the air flow meter.hope that was helpfull.Good luck.

Golf mk 4 gti turbo starts up but wont rev past 2000rpm

turbo is malfunctioning the turbo waste gate is not working take it to a shop right away, preferablly tow it so as not to damage the engine, if the exhaust gas's gets near the turbine bearings you will burn up the engine and the turbo cna explode like a hand granade and destrou your enging.

Stalling/possible overheating in engine, but not registering on the temp gauge

If it is a turbo, check the Turbo BypassValve. Also check all vacuum hoses, after 100 Kmiles replace them all.

WHISTLING BELOW TURBO

Its surely not turbo, its is somewhere a hole or leak in turbo air filter housing or air inlet pipe that is making noises when turbo sucks air. check the air pipes wheather they are fitted correctly. Take a keen look at air hose and close any hole with silver tape check the hose is fitted correctly in Turbo air filter housing (if not then it makes whistling noise when air is being sucked by turbo) . Clean all air filters and then give it a go.

300 zx twin turbo sucked water up in through air intake..what now

Easiest way to get water out of the motor is to remove the head and then manually remove the water from the pistons / head.

Remove the head and spray it with brake cleaner, let it dry first
and then be sure to put synthetic motor oil (same weight as before) over the dry metal to help lubricate it again. (The brake cleaner will take out the water/dirt and clean it very easily)

After that, while the head is prepped to go back on, using a cloth that doesnt have lint, **** up all the **** out of the cylinders - like the water / shards of metal / etc.

This is a very tedious task, especially with a 300zx because like you said, theres no working room.
Might wanna check your turbo for possible moisture (It can make it rust and become faulty)
