SOURCE: Can u replace the head gaskets on a 2000 Jeep

ruacowboysfa, Yes, you can do this without dropping the engine. The only problem you may have is removing and retorquing the head bolts because of the room constraints at the back of the engine compartment. Good luck with this.

You really need to buy a manual. There is a lot of parts that have to come off. And you need torque specs.

My 97 2.8l diesel hiace is pressurising the cooling system it has a crack in the radiator could this be causing the problem or is it more likley a head gasket

head gasket but the 2.8 l diesel has a head cracking problem especially if the engine is held at high rpm for long periods of time
have a compression test done and it it shows gasket , then while the head is off , have the head crack tested

Water in oil

Water in the oil is most likely a head gasket leak-blown head gasket. You will have to pull the cylinder head off and replace the head gasket. If it's a V6 or V8 engine, a compression test will tell you which bank of the engine has the head gasket problem. One cylinder or two cylinders next to each other will have low compression.

I have changed all the oil parts and it still sounds like a diesel truck jajaja it does the noise and stops but when i run it around again, the sound is louder.... my jeep has everything in the motor...

Look away from the oil. You most likely have a problem with fuel ignition or perhapse a head gasket gone out. Start with new plugs, maybe coils. and if that isn't it you may have a head gasket gone. I just did the head gaskets on my libby and before i did, it was chugging like a diesel.

Where is the head gasket located at on a 1994 grand marquis

The head gasket (in your case gaskets) is located on the top of the engine block under the engine cylinder head which is under the Camshaft cover which is the very top of the engine. This car is a V8 engine so it has 2 heads and 2 head gaskets, one on each side of the engine. It is a very expensive job to replace head gaskets.

How do i repair a blown head gasket on my 1992 cadillac deville V8 4.9L

The correct way is to remove the head(s) have the head(s) checked for warpage repair as necessary then clean everything good and replace the head gaskets. There are some places that advertise a product that is suppose to seal a head gasket leak but remember if it seals the headgasket leak it may stop up your radiator, also it will just be a temporary repair

The radiator of my 2003 isuzu trooper has a mixture of water and diesel now, and per mechanic, we have to replace the overhaul gasket kit and cylinder head (though without testing), can we just proceed...

how did the diesel get in there? are you sure its diesel fuel or is it motor oil? then it could be head gasket problem. Or trans fluid, which would make it milky pink? Then it could be the trans cooler in the radiator leaking. If someone accidently put diesel fuel in it then just flush it out. If it has been in there long enough to start ruining hoses then replace those. why does he say gaskets? how does it run? does it overheat? then maybee head gaskets. and resurface heads.

Blown headgasket caused from overheating

I would definitely replace both head gaskets while you're there. It's just cheap insurance.
