start your cr-v and let idle for 10 or so seconds in park. shut it off and check the fluid with in 30 seconds. if you check the fluid running it will read low and get overfilled. level ground is also important.

SOURCE: I have a Honda CRV 2001. I have a misfire. It

i doubt it. is it a random cylinder misfire or isolated to certain cylinders? if random, check for vacuum leaks, hook it to a scanner if you have one and check fuel trim. might need some alcohol or nerve medication to get through this one, misfires can be tough.if isolated, suspect fuel injector if plugs and wires are new. might want to check compression on dead holes

SOURCE: after engine shampoo, engine won't start on 2001 honda crv

You got ignition system wet, remove the distributor cap and check for water, i bet you will find it wet. you will need to dry it out even by using a hair dryer to dry it out, then try to start it. i would let it run for a while with hood open to allow moisture to flow out from under the hood to avoid other components from getting wet. let me know the out come good day.

Check fuel pressure, check engine codes, check for spark when it is dead. Spark related might be distributor or cap or rotor. Check codes for free at autozone unless you buy a obd2 scanner from them.

My Honda crv 2006 looses power goes to idling and engine light comes on

The 1st thing you need to do is have the computer control module tested for fault codes, this is called an OBD2 test.

2011 Honda Pilot won't start and battery is fully charged

wont crank?
or cranks fast and robustly but won't start.
never starts?
cranks and wont start wot. wide open throttle (oper guide tells you)
this is secret PCM unflood mode.
the age old ploy, (carbs ore EFI are the same)
1: compression good, (never changing cam belts, kills 99% of all Honda engine dead, and bent valves)
2: bad spark on 1 or cylinders.
3: bad fueling , none, or too much

there is a test for each.
no start (but cranks perfect)
on all USA cars, we have OBD2.
and we connect scan tool
and look for DTC errors, cranking for 5 seconds.
most no spark , errors will show up here... and now.

2011 , most cars are OBD2 (or simular) but..... you never said country.

05honda crv cutting out bad

MISFIRING.
2005 , in USA (are you) has OBD2 technology engine puter brain.
and in fact can set DTC P030x errors on misfire.
in USA, (not canada) it glows the CEL on all misifires. running...
does it glow the CEL driving?
if yes, then scan it. (USA)
get it scanned.
or take car to any ASE cert,.mechanic for a tune up, ever do the 60k mile service, ever? id bet not. most just drive car till it misfires.
but only you know that...
misfire can be caused by 50 things, (complexity)
top 3?
1: no tune ups done. (spark parts and filters)
2: EGR stuck open (clean it, most shops do at tune up time.
3: bad fuel. old fuel.

I hae drove to work this morning and a light has come on on the dashboard. it says pgm-fi. what does this mean? my car is a honda CRV 2009.

easy peasy cheezy
it means in modern words, ECM/PCM the engine controls.
or even more simple, the Electronic Fuel Injection system controller.
or engine puter, or engine brain.... to others.
if in USA?, its OBD2 car, (not 1 post ever for country here) odd....

and all 96' and newer cars here in USA ,we connect a scan tool
any $9 scan tool works. (new)

if not in usa, then say so, as other countries use different systems.

2001 CRV will not restart after sitting a few mintues

Have you had the engine control computer scanned for fault codes that might explain what this is? Do that first. You will need to buy a code reader for a OBD2 electronic engine control system, the diagnostic connector is in front of the driver under the dash.

Where can I find the manifold supply air inlet of Honda CRV Gen 1 2001 model? Picture or diagram will be best! :)

Basically, the Honda CR-V intake manifold is designed to supply fuel and air to the cylinders of the engine. It is also known as a system of passages and the induction system?s inlet manifold. The combination of air and fuel is vital in the internal combustion process of the engine. Through it, the engine is able to produce power essential for the vehicle?s component and parts to function well. The mixture of air and fuel should be at all times consistent since any imbalance on the chemical composition will result to high level of toxic elements with its byproduct. Furthermore, this will cause poor engine performance and poor fuel mileage.

2001 honda accord, check engine light on,found code p1146 and p1147,whath could be the problem?

Neither of these codes are Honda codes. They are VW, Hyundai, and Subaru codes. So these are meaningless. How did you come up with these codes? Take your Honda to Advance auto parts and have them scan the ECU with an OBD2 scan tool.

Have your shop hook your car up to a obd2 machine,
and look at what temperature the engine temp switch is telling the computer it is,
if the switch is faulty it could read 75 degrees and that means the computer would lean the fuel mixture for a summer start.
