Abs and brake light stay on in 2001 chevy tahoe

Seems the most likely is the control module, but could be affected by bad grounds or possibly a wheel speed sensor.
Read this thread, about 3 pages long, and has info and links for the control module fix and where to check the grounds.

96 Chevy Tahoe z71 4 door I changed my radiator an now my head lights won't work

look around for a ground wire or ground strap that you may have missed putting back or even hurt or pinched when doing the radiator. follow the harness up to the firewall checking for broken, kinked, frayed, or chafed wires. especially the ground. obviously first thing to do is check the fuses and then the relays does the headlamp switch have power coming from it in order to tell the lights to turn on.???

Ok so I have a 1978 chevy pickup, and the fuel gauge isnt working. It says i have a full tank all the time. Got any ideas on how to fix it? Also my left tail light isnt working, and the bulbs are all good,...

Check the ground wire to the fuel sending unit @ the tank, A ground wire can be spliced in and located on a good metal surface just about any where..

I have a 1999 chevy tahoe and just had the fuel pump replace and now the fuel gauge is not reading it only registers when the truck is off. Can you help or explain this problem.

I'm not sure how different the Tahoe is from the pickup, but here's a possible solution.
There are 2 electrical connections on top of the fuel pump/sending unit. One controls the pump itself and the other is for the sending unit. Check to ensure both are seated fully and have the retainer clips in.
If you follow the wiring harness from the top of the pump toward the frame rail, you should see a bolt holding down a single black wire. This is your frame ground wire. Make sure it's connected.

2001 chevy truck 1500 airconditioner wont stop running

You could have a problem with the wiring to the blower motor. My mom has a 2006 Tahoe that would only blow out any air when it wanted to. Turns out, some how a wire going to the motor popped out and was grounding itself on another wire. If I were you I would take it in to have it looked at before spending the money on buying a new blower motor.

My rear defrost and wiper is not working

I have the solution. [will use untechnical verbage in this reply] Bad ground is the culprit. Both devices (defrost and wiper motor) appear to share a common ground which has become disfunctional. So, I took a piece of vinyl covered wire stripped each end and secured one end under the hex head screw (like a bolt) that secures the wiper motor to the metal bracket it is attached to. Then sucured the other end under the hex head screw that holds the door window latch mechanism to the liftgate. The wire is about 6 inches long. Bingo! Both work and have been working and tested every day for 6 days.

The smashed wire idea is along these lines. But realize in the troubleshooting of this - these devices have two different switches so power unlikely the problem because two circuits failing together is unlikely. So what can fail at same time? - the ground side of the circuit. Often time devices share a common ground bus or grounding circuit.

Anyway. This fixed it! Thanks to those who read my questioned and took the time to read it. I may add a picture of the wire solution this weekend.
