Question about Mitsubishi Galant

1 Answer

Is there a way to change my transmission fluid on my 2012 mitsubishi galant? I had a 2007 but it was located behind the panel of the driverside front tire. This one I'm not sure where it might be.

SOURCE: power steering fluid leak somewhere behind right

Add power steering fluid, have some one start engine, and turn wheel as far as it will go, that will put pressure on power steering pump, now you can look for the leak, while it's under pressure, good luck.Hope this was very helpful.

there should be a drain plug located on the bottom of your transmission you need to remove the plug make sure to have a container directly under it so it does not spill on the ground when its done draining put the plug back in and refill to the proper level specified in your owners manual ( note the plug will be a bolt you just unscrew it with a socket and ratchet set)

Does my 2003 mitsubishi galant have a transmission filter if so where is it located

All automatic transmissions have a filter, which is located inside the transmission pan. To replace filter, you will need to remove the transmission pan. Before replacing pan be sure to remove any old gasket that may still be present on pan and the mount on transmission. Refill with proper type and amount of fluid...DO NOT OVERFILL

How do i change the transmission fluid on a 2005 4cly 2.4 galant?

PULL THE PLUG FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE TRANS AXLE LET ALL THE FLUID DRAIN OUT, PUT THE PLUG BACK IN. AND REFILL WITH A FUNNEL THROUGH THE TRANSMISSION DIPSTICK. YOU MIGHT WANT TO CHANGE THE FILTER TOO. THE FILTER IS BEHIND THE TRANSMISSION FLUID OIL PAN.
