A little more info would be helpful to aid you with your plan. Type of car? did you leave the key in the ignition?

I put a strong tape over the plunger switch on the specific door you use most often, but taking the key out of the ignition is the safest way to avoid the noise and most practical. On my 2001 honda if i leave the key in the ignition and lock the doors the remote will NOT unlock the car. Need an extra key or open window.

2005 jeep wrangler when i turn lights on beeping starts

did you RTM read the operators guide yet,
it tells you why all beeps beep and what lamps flash, (warning) and why. did you?
you turn on, the head lights, (what about 1st click , parking lights"?)
and does the dash cluster, show warnings of any kind?

if a door is ajar the system will think, you are exiting veh. with lights on and tell you, buy beeping ,etc.
but on my jeep it says on the dash DOOR, or on EVICs, (not yours)
the newer car even tells what door IS AJAR.
mine on shows , "DOOR"
the operator guide will say, check all doors for ajar, and get warning clear before driving....etc.

if you lost the guide here it is for free

Open door beeping

I am thinking that the door switch in one of the doors is faulty. The most common on to go out is the drivers door if only because that door is the one used the most

Jeep and consistant beeping

there are sensor switches on the doors, open one of them and look at the side of the vehicle where the lock is that holds the door close, you will notice a small rubber push button there ,, when you press it,, it closes in turning off the door lights and letting the car know the door is closed.. One of those one the doors is shorting out, by a broken wire or a stuck sensor,, you need to take them out and check the wires connecting them, or play with them by pushing them in and out rapidly until the beeping stops.

Car beeping at me. (not the horn)

Hi Laura,, You'll need to take the vehicle and have a diagnostic scan carried out. The warning is because something is wrong and if it is something that is not obvious, you need to find out what is being reported. Regards John

Trunk door will not stay open. Car security alarm doesn't make a beep sound when turned on. Backing up beeping is not working.

You will need new shocks for the rear door.

Check your fuses for the issue on security alarm as well as the possible wiring to the device itself.
