Pull the fuse out to disconnect the dome light from power, as a temporary fix. It won't cost you any money, but will stop the battery drain. Put a flashlight in the vehicle in case you need to see in the dark!

Why is my clock and radio staying on after I remove the key in my jeep Liberty 2007

Modules or Relays are not going to sleep
or timing out & running the battery down

Have to leave the doors closed up to 1/2 hour with a
an amp meter on the battery & pull one fuse at a time
to isolate the circuit

You Tube has video on (Parasitic Current Drain Test)

2005 Jeep liberty dome lights do not come on when doors open and dash lights are dimmed

that's programmable on all cars.
old cars, a lever on Dome lamp or others on the HL stalk a mode.
HL = head lamps
my new car no light levers.
IT has a party mode, cute how now that old feature for 100 years
gets a name. PARTY, as all doors open for tail gate party and no light drain on battery. (death) my 08 JK has that.(wrangler)

all this is in the operators manual. in the glove box.
page 94 in mine (word not in index.party)
quote
When a door is open and the interior lights are on,
rotating the dimmer control all the way down to the OFF
detent will cause all the interior lights to go out. This is
also known as the "Party mode" because it allows the
doors to stay open for extended periods of time without
discharging the vehicle's battery." unquote, RTM?

im sure its in your book but a different page,
i got the PDF for my car, (all of them) and can search any key word.
a blessing that is....

2002 jeep liberty limited battery dies overnight

easy find and fix. if you have 1 tool, an ammeter. (DMM)
this is called (AKA)
dark current.
or phantom drain,
it means, simply, SOMETHING, is not turning OFF.
so in the dark look for glowing lights. look an all places.
glove box, too, compartments... ALL !
if no lamps on, then its something else.
all cars have 2 power feeds.
1: switch power (key switch)
2: hot all the time. (bingo there)
some lights are hot all the time, Head lights, dome.
and the alternator.

here is a page dedicated to finding it 3 different ways !
no meter, with meter or a test light.
all cars work the same (power DC) but parts of it are moved
about to make it challenging.....

http://www.fixkick.com/drain/drain.html

the first trick is to measure the drain.
then pull fuse 1 by one until you find the branch that has a drain.
keep i mind, 1 fuse can run 10 things....

My 2009 Jeep Liberty constantly has a dead battery every morning. The battery stays charged throughout the day but drains at night. What is the problem?

Something's running, obviously. Get a volt-ohmmeter that can measure current draw, remove each fuse one-by-one, and test each circuit for a non-zero current.
