Should the solenoid have increasing voltage across the main terminals, 9.0vdc to 30vdc. Master switch in tow, key switch off.

My answer is I don't know regarding golf carts but generally a designer would arrange for a solenoid to be actuated by as constant a voltage as possible, especially if it is to be engaged for long periods. That is the only method to ensure consistent operation without danger of overheating. This is assuming the available voltage energises the soleniod.
I would expect the voltage across the main terminals would also be expected to be fairly constant so a predictable consistent performance can be provided over a long life.

You really need to consult a repair manual/wiring diagram. As a complete uninitiated golf cart layman I would expect the main solenoid switch to be switching the battery voltage which would then supply the speed and direction control board. I could be worng though!

Can Toyotas be towed four wheels down

As a general rule most Toyotas can not be flat towed. Some of the standard shift models may be towed, but not the automatics. Check the owner's manual to be sure, but many Toyota dealers say that the warranty will be voided if towed 4 down.

How do I tow my mower without damaging it?

The safest way to move the mower to the repair shop is on a utility trailer. You can rent one at U-Haul for a minimal fee.

Automatic shift stuck park

flat towed, in park is not possible
the shift console, has an emergency park lockout, release feature
what is broken, unsaid.??????
the lost operators guide covers both towing rules
and shows that emerg. button location. use it and shift the shifter to neutral.
the front wheels are locked in park.
the problem with flat towing any car are many.
steering lock failure. (locks in motion)
transmission oiling , when the engine is not running the
transmission pump is dead, and oil lube is lacking to many critical areas..
page 163 here covers, the magic switch (emg)
http://www.toyota.com/t3Portal/document/om/OM12656U/pdf/4.pdf

page 160 is tow.
no flat towing.
it can be towed on its rear wheels all day long.

the transmission issues, can be very serious.
do no listen to some dweeb saying gee i towed min 500 miles the wrong way, do not. he never rebuilt a transmission in his life and dont understand how it works deep inside.
page 161,
Never tow a vehicle with an automatic
transmission from the rear with the
front wheels on the ground, as this
may cause serious damage to the
transmission.

page 162, emergancy towed with chains (flat)
short distance with a driver in the seat
in neutral. , ACC position at key switch.
obviously if the key switch parts, are bad, this dont work and would be
very dangerous to all person, in car, towing, and me on the road.

Shifter damage from tow truck driver

call the garage and ask if a flatbed was used or boom style..why was the car towed in the first place??if it was done by cops.. the tow company will not fix it BUT you can get a decent garage to fix it and send the bill to the towyard that screwed it up..I hate when a towyard.. especially one that excusively tows for law enforcement..screws up cars .. we had a 4wd subaru that was towed without a flatbed..it mbroke the transfer case and subsequently destroyed the car..we fought the tow company for 3 years but finally won..it costs nearly 3000 bucks for a 500 dollar car to proove a point..

I am looking for something to tow behind my motorhome. I have found a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport automatic 2WD. Can it be towed 4 wheels down without disconnecting the driveshaft?

2 wheel drive vehicles can be towed with all four whells on the ground for extended distances. Chrysler recommends a max speed of 30 MPH, but I know these vehicles can be towed at higher MPH. The 4x4 model Jeeps are the vehicles that are not recommended to be towed with all for wheels on the ground, but I know this too has also been done, but with drive shaft removal.

Can I tow my 2002 grand caravan es on all 4 tires?

The answer is yes and no, but more no than yes. How far do you need to tow the vehicle? It is not recommended that any vehicle with automatic transmission be towed more than a few miles. With an auto transmission, towing without the engine running will not allow fluid to circulate throughout transmission, causing major damage to the gears in the transmission. If possible, use a tow dolly instead of towing on all four wheels.

1999 ezgo golf cart.need to know the whole wireing system for this cart. I put new batterys in and ihave a short somewhere cause know it want do nothing.the reverse beeper want come on nor will the cart...

When you removed the batteries, a certain procedure MUST be followed. Key switch off, switch to tow position and shift lever in reverse. You must wait until the beeper unit sound dies out then remove the wire from the most NEGATIVE cable. Place in Neutral before installing new batteries. There is a specific sequence to putting the batteries in an EZ-GO cart. Failure to follow this procedure will kill the controller. The Key switch must be off and the maintenance/tow switch MUST be in the tow position when connecting the batteries. Any of the above will cause the controller to fail, due to improper discharge of the PRE-Charge capacitors.
