Hi please try these simple things 1st.
Clean both batt. + and - and the cable connection ends with a wire brush. Make sure they are tight.
Start
No start follow the POS and NEG cables and make sure that end is tight.
90% of the time that's the problem.

There is enough volts to power systems but not give 650 cold cranking amps to starter due to bad connections.

If no start get back to me.

Hopes this helps Mike

Try a boost first but it is most likely the starter or the battery cable to it.The cables on these do corrode at the starter and become disconnected. Slide under and take a look.Other possibilities are the starter solenoid or neutral safety switch.

2004 olds alero 3400 eng.turn on key and all warning lights and gauges come up,then all goes off after 3 seconds, starter will not work, can start by jumping across starter and runs fine and shifts fine

Check for power at the switch wire when someone turns the key to start. I would say there is a break in the circuit of the thin wire between the starter & the ignition switch

My truck just clicks when I turn the ignition

Hi Shooter, Hope its just targets and not people! I would suspect the battery and the terminals. The fact that all other electrical circuits worked is no indication. It would be helpful to have the battery tested under load (when cranking) If you see the voltage drop below ten replace the battery. If the voltage is maintained, have the starter motor solenoid replaced. Regards John

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee temp gauge high when heat is on

If your "check engine" light is turn on, I suggest scanned the PCM to know exactly what fault code is stored there. Additionally, could be some problem with the "temp sending unit".

this is a common issue. the internals of the instrument panel clusters become defective, and is a sealed unit - the entire cluster must be replaced. this must be performed at the dealer because they need to reprogram the mileage into the new cluster with the GM scantool. you should call your local dealer with your VIN#, some models are covered by a secret / extended / goodwill warranty. if the dealer says no, request the 1800 number to contact gm. good luck!
