I just bought a 2003 Mercedes Benz C240, and when i accelerate and brake the front end shakes. Could it be a simple fix like a lower control arm?

Mercedes-Benz C240 manual transmission yr 2003. The reserve fuel light went out, as well as the gas gauge. Is it a fuse? How do I fix it?

This happens to a lot of vehicles, not just yours. It's just the ground to your fuel tank has been interrupted somehow. Possible the ground connection on the tab at the tank is just corroded, or the frame to tank ground. Either way, the ground must be clean and tight on both ends of this connection.

What can i do the fix this problem?the key of my c240 2003 won't turn.

Looks the RFDI chip in the key is defect. Your Mercedes car dealer should be able to help you with that.
Fist to make sure it is a chip problem in the key and second by replacing the chip and the code and / or replacing the battery it an empty battery is the issue.

98 ford windstar front end shakes while accelerating

a good thing to check would be your inner and outer tie rod ends. if they are going bad they will cause a lot of shaking in the car and will also cause the front end to be out of a lined which will make your tires wear faster and uneven

How to replace s500 control arms How much do they cost, and it there an additional ball joint. My mechanic tacked this on. I thing the control arm and ball joing is one unit.

To replace the lower control are you need to unbolt it from the subframe, airmatic strut, sway bar link and from the lower ball joint. The lower ball joint is separate from the lower control arm. The ball joint actually gets pressed into the steering knuckle. Then the lower control arm sits on top of the ball joint and gets bolted down. The lower control arms list price are about $330 each and the ball joints are around $78 each for oem mercedes parts. The total labor for both to be replaced is somewhere between 6-8 flag hours. The thrust arms are also part of the front suspension and those arms are one piece that have a ball joint as part of the arm. The lower control arm usually doesn't need to be replaced unless its damaged since the control arm bushings are available separately and are around $73 each side for the kit.

Front end shakes upon acceleration

when you accelerate the torque(twisting motion)is lifting the front of the car(hence wheelspin), taking the weight off the lower control arms(no weight = more movement)so when you coast, the full front end weight is on the front suspension = no shake....

S430 Mercedes - Front end shaking at 55+

It sounds like you have either a broken steel belt in your tire or a worn out idler arm in your steering assembly. Other causes may be a bent wheel, a flat spot on the tire or worst case your brake rotor / wheel hub may be loose. If the rotor / wheel hub is loose you may have severly damaged wheel bearings. Good luck...
