Tail light brake light wont work on driver side. The top light works but brake light wont. I change bulbs 2 times.

Alot of times the socket gets deformed from heat and doesnt make contact. The thing to do is check for voltage at the wire going into the socket, as well as the term. in the socket. Also, you might have to attach a ground wire to the bulb, that is also a problem. Now if you dont have voltage on -In the Socket, you may have a broken wire, in the harness.

check battery voltage, if this is good do the same at the starter large wire terminal. then with someone cranking the motor check for voltage at the small wire terminal it should be battery voltage. if these are good then the starter will need replacing.

Pull the plug for the heating element for the seat and with it "on" check for 12v; you have full voltage then possble bad element. You have no voltage check the wire and fuse.

There is a resister on the housing for the heat. This controls the speeds by lowering tne voltage. Look at the housing under the dash or behind the glove box. Follow the wires

Fan wont come on car over heats when im in stop and go traffic and after a short trip on the interstate

If you have a volt meter, you should remove the connector on the fan and see if there is any voltage on the wires going to the fan. If there is no voltage, it could be a blown fuse or bad temperature sensor.

The sensor is usually located on the radiator. You can check it by using an ohmmeter and measuring across its terminals. The resistance reading should vary depending on whether the water in the radiator is hot or cold. If you get an extremely high or infinite reading, replace the sensor.

Good luck!

Power at battery good. power to starte solenoid good, strater tested good. Wont turn over(start cranking)

Sounds like the solinoid is bad. The small wire going to the solinoid should have battery voltage going to it when the key is in the start position. If it does your solinoid is bad. If it doesent your key swith is bad or the wire going to the solinoid is cut somewher between the switch and the solinoid

Gas gauge not working

Your sending unit is bad.

Here is the circuit:

(+)———»IS———»VR———»G———»SU———»(Gnd)

IS: Ignition Switch
VR: Gauge Voltage Regulator (mounted with the gauges)
G: Gauge
SU: Gas tank sending unit

The gauge deflects through heating a strip of metal that bends when hot. There is resistance wire wrapped around that strip to heat it up. One end of that wrap of wire is attached to the gauge "voltage regulator, the other end to the tank sending unit. The "voltage regulator" cycles between conducting power from the Ign. Sw. to the gauge, and disconnecting the gauge from that voltage. The sending unit in the tank varies resistance in response to the position of the float in the tank. Full: virtually no resistance. Empty: a lot of resistance. When the tank is full, during the period the "voltage regulator" is on, the strip of metal heats up a lot, because the sender has almost no resistance. When the tank is empty, during the period of time the "voltage regulator" provides voltage, the strip barely gets heated, deflecting the gauge hardly at all, because the resistance the sending unit creates limits the current through the gauge.

You have almost no continuity through the sending unit except near full, and at a few other position. Replace the sender, and you will have a functioning gauge.

2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport heating & a/c problem.

If your saying the blower runs intermittently, I'd start testing at the blower motor when problem is ongoing, if good voltage and ground with no blower action, suspect the blower motor. Did you use a test light to check voltage at fuses, as you can see, one fuse goes hot with the key on, the other fuse is hot all the time. The top wire in diagram for blower motor is voltage, the bottom wire is ground.
Any motor that uses brushes and the brushes are worn badly, the motor may run intermittently.
