How to change thermostat in 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.7

Drain the coolant into a bucket so it can be reused or disposed of. Follow the top radiator hose from the radiator to the engine. Right there where the hose ends is an elbow with 2 bolts on it. when you remove those bolts the thermostat will be under the housing. Make sure you spary the bolts with PB Blaster or another penetrate real well the night before, those bolts snap real easy. Make sure you scrape the mating areas of the housing real well also but DO NOT gouge the mating surfaces because it will case leaking. Make sure you DO NOT install the thermostat backwards. and upon reassembly DO NOT over tighten the housing bolts because they will snap. Good luck also BUY a repair manual for your car. It will save you tons of time and give you step by step instructions on how to do these jobs.

Rear door latch is broke

I had to do this, too... Mine cost me $70 at the local dealer (they even got it in the same stock paint color). Tip: buy a few of the inexpensive replacement plastic pins for your inner panel when you buy the handle housing, as they tend to break easily. You can pop the old pins by sticking a narrow straight screwdriver or a butterknife under the panel near them and twisting... once it's off, the screws for the old handle housing are fairly easy to spot (just remember where the housing bolts on from the exterior are located). Now that those are off, realize that the thing is probably hanging from your trunk by the wires connecting the license plate lights and the handle, itself They can be removed from the old, broken housing with a phillips #2 (normal size) screwdriver, and then the wires have a quick-disconnect so that you can pop the lights and the handle off w/o cutting the wires. Pop them off, slide the wires through your new handle housing, and screw them back on. then slide the handle housing into position (lining up the screws that are molded into the housing with the adjacent holes). You'll have to kind of hold it in place as you raise the trunk hatch to full open position, but once it's up, gravity is your friend. Use the screws that were holding the parts from the broken housing to re-affix the new one, and you're done.

2003 Chevy Duramax 2500 HD with a vapor lock when temp is moderately hot; will not start without using prime pump on top of fuel filter housing - sometimes with low fuel level will not re-start even with...

Most likly the filter housing needs to be replaced and or the fule lines to and rom the housing. the housing has the plunger on top and the filter screwed under. The plunger goes bad on these and causes air to enter and then become air locked. this is also very comon on the IPR with the fuel filter housing mounted behind cab on frame rail driver side. road sault gets to these and degrades the unit untill it sucks air. On the c 4500 you need to get the oem fuel lines because of the tight space restrictions to route the lines. the OEM lines are molded to make the tight bends required.

Hope this helps... Good luck

I had an emergency brake cable snap somewhere (emergency brake cable goes to floor with no resistance). How do I tell where the broken cable is?

The cable runs under the car on the drivers side. if it broke under there it would be hanging down some. Most likely it broke at the foot pedal. There is a metal stud that is molded on the end of the cable and is prong to break first.

I need to have a fuse box diagram for a 2006 PT Cruiser. I don't see it in the owners manual. Thank you.

All of the electrical current distributed throughout this vehicle is directed through the standard equipment Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM). The molded plastic TIPM housing is located in the left front corner of the engine compartment, just behind the air cleaner housing and the battery. The TIPM housing has a molded plastic cover. The TIPM cover is easily removed for service access and has a convenient fuse and relay layout label affixed to the inside surface of the cover to ensure proper component identification.

One alternative is to locate a scrap auto dealer and get the part from them. Usually about 1/3 price of new part from car dealer. ( Used Auto Parts).

Replacing passenger side mirror

you have to buy the whole mirror because they are specially made to have better view, and some times there is a little plastic molding inside that snap out to remove the bolts, but some times you have to remove the whole door panel in order to do it.
