It could be starving if fuel. Increase power, increase demand. Ensure no trash got left or sucked up into the fuel lines during the replacement process. Also ensure you don't have a leak somewhere, either positive or negative. An engine that got a gulp of air in the fuel line can act the same way.

My 4 cyl mustang is working with only one cylinder spark plugs, cables and ignition coils are new what is it?

When you have Coil Packs not firing Spark... it's usually due to one of two reasons: 1.) the Coil Pack is BAD 2.) the Ignition Control Module (ICM) has fried internally and is not activating that specific Ignition Coil within the Coil Pack ...The most common is the ICM ...The probable reason your catalytic conv. gets red hot is due to raw gas being dumped through the exhaust from the no fire on your cyl... Running it like that can cause severe damage to your conv...

Misfire on cyl 3 & 5 and noticeable bucking on

Hello, How about draining the tank and putting fresh gas in? Change your fuel filter after you drain the gas from the fuel line. Do a fuel sample in a glass container and see if the gas separates. By now you may need to clean the fuel pressure regulator and the new Injectors may be clogged by the dirt in the system.

There is also a potential problem if someone used the fuel line bracket or fuel line as a ground when jump starting the vehicle. This is under the NHTSA bulletins. The fuel line bracket under the hood is a convenient place to hook a jumper cable. If someone did this, then the fuel line can be cooked by the jumpstart. The rubber hose underneath the Stainless steel lines can overheat if a jumper cable is attached.

To me, touching any part of a fuel line with an arcing power source is extremely dangerous. I would like to know if this happened to you and what the final repair was found to be on your vehicle.

Hi, my 1996 pontiac 3.1 just got the service engine light went on along with rough idle. Took it to a auto store they hooked it up and said that cyl 4 miss fired. Any ideas. Tune 6 months ago full tank...

either injector, or plug wire or plug-I'd vote for for the plug wires first, and you can check the injector by using a broom handle and holding it against the suspect injector-see if it clicks while the engine runs. Compare it to others to see if it sounds the same. You might also remove the plug and see if it is wet (bad plug wire) or dry (injector, possibly).

WITH MOTOR RUNNING REMOVE ONE PLUG LEAD AT A TIME (INSULATED PILERS) MOTOR SHOULD REACT IF GOOD , IF ENGINE SPEED DOES NOT DROP ITS A FAULT AT THAT CLY, TRY NEW SPARK PLUG 1ST THEN LEAD, ALSO CHECK FOR ANY FAULTS OR SHORTING OF THE PLUG LEADS, COIL PACKS. (MORE NOTACABLE IN DAMP CONDITIONS) THESE CARS NEED TOP QUALITY PLUGS, OR THEY WILL ALL FAIL UNDER LOAD,

1999 safari van 4.3 6 cyl. has a service code PO

P0301 is a DTC code that indicates a misfire to cylinder one. It could be a bad spark plug, spark plug wire, rotor and cap, a dirty fuel injector, or the worst a bad head gasket. Cylinder 1 is the first cylinder on the drivers side, towards the front. Start with the simple and check the spark plug wire and add fuel injector cleaner to the gas tank. Good luck and hope this helps you get you van running 100% soon. If that did not help, then your going to have to do a tune up by replacing the spark plugs, wires and rotor and cap. You can get all the parts you need at Auto Zone and they can give you the step by step to get the job done with common tools in under 2 hours of your time. Keep me posted, be glad to know you got your van running 100% again soon.

Shaking engine, weak power, blinking check engine light

You have a bad coil pack, they usually crack from age and heat. It's best to replace them all. Check for a VW recall on this item.

1999 Z24 runs rough when warm

I'd check the throttle position sensor before going anywhere else. Your problem is right in the middle of the rpm range, right where the most wear on the tps happens.(assuming a 2,000 rpm average crusing rpm) An ignition or fuel problem generally shows up first at high rpm's where the load is greatest.
