SOURCE: why is my 99 ford F450 7.3L turbo diesel blowing

Does any one have a idea a friend here has changed ecm, inj, fuel pump checked conector at fire wall ,fuel and has a short wrecker tow f450 99 and will be going down the road and he says the thing just loses all power and kind of just won't do over 15 to 20mph and lets it sit and he says it will do it again. I am not sure how long it takes but since I don't work on diesels I figured I would have the experts that do if anyone knows it's you guys any help he is in Charlotte NC I can put you with this guy he has had it to all the parts changers and no luck Thanks Mark 704 492 1647

SOURCE: trouble starting had startor motor replaced smething is draining battery 12 v cranking voltage 6 volts

something electrical may be remaining on like a light somewhere that you dont normally see like a trunk light that should be off, also could be something with a blown fuse with power still going to the relay area (but it wouldnt affect anything because of the blown fuse)

SOURCE: my 2007 kia sedona all of a sudden wont start no clicking from starter no crank from engine all interior and dash lights work baterry is new

Are you sure you don't have a loose or bad connection on the battery? If cables are clean and tight, next step would be to test the starter. Parts stores will test them for free, but you have to take it off and take it in to them.

Hard start no start 05 f450 6.0

The most common concerns on this model are going to be faulty injectors, you can perform a buzz test to check them. The next is high pressure oil system leaks, especially at the STC fitting above the HPOP.

2004 f450 when warms up you get whistle. if you unplug acuater by turbo goes away

If thats a 6.0 look for a hole or tear in the turbo connections..Also look at the air cooler in the front they are bad about cracking..Get someone to put the vehicle in reverse and hold the brake and raise the engine up,,then listen for the leak..

My 2007 Diesel F450 quit yesterday - starter turn over, then we heard a thud in the engine. Ford dealership said it's probably the crank shaft and they want $22,500 for a new motor. Any other ideas?

Man! what a bummer. If my engine failed in less than 4 years, I would not want to replace it with another, same issue engine.....I would take the unit apart and find out what failed. If I were to buy a diesel, it would need to run for a REALLY long time, not 4 years...

Have a f450 7.3 turbo has a miss and smokes like hek put new cam sensor no change got any idease ?

If you have new fuel and air filters I would check the fuel return line for blockage. The easieast way would be to remove it from the pump and replace it with a hose and bucket and start the engine. See if it makes a difference. If it does then the line has a blockage and needs to be blown out. I would also take it in and get the injectors tested.
I'd also pick up a copy of Haynes Diesel Engine Repair Manual, part # 10330. It will be a big help in diagnosing and repairing a lot of common problems. It has a good section specific to Ford diesels, 6.9 and 7.3.Hope this helps.

I have a 1999 Ford F450 super duty diesel. It

Replace the glowplug relay. Its faulty. The glow plugs stay on until engine warms up.The engine temp switch then activates the relay to switch off.So it could be the temp switch also faulty.
