My lincoln keeps ETC and have had coils replaced three times (2 years ago) same problem is there a recall for this issue

No recall

Have the same car

You haven't had the correct coils or all
the bad ones replaced each time there
was an ETC Light

No one likes that car but me, or can solve the issues

Even professional scan tool software I have, doesn't
always get all the coils, need to walk a new one sometimes

Good Luck finding someone who knows & likes that system
& fords. Too bad your not my neighbor,I could solve many
issues for you,you don't even know you have.

Rock Auto.Com has the coils from Wells, for about $50.00

If you have a V6 the your in trouble with that intake manifold
having to come off.

2005 Ford Expedition steering wheel squeaks

My Lincoln LS does that sometimes

Unrelated, but a recall on mine ,was to change the
Power Steering Fluid, which along with the trans fluid,
should be done every 3 years anyway

I think the squeak is in the column,I haven't figured it out yet,
but years ago the dealer put an additive in the P/S & fixed
the recall squeak

How do you replace the starter?

There were two engines used in that year truck, a 2.4 liter and a V-6.
The 2.4 has one bolt at the bottom going from the back to the front. Either a 14 ir 17 mm wrench size, can't recall. The other bolt comes out from the top, but from the front to back.
Make sure you disconnect the ground first from the battery and then the positive from the back of the starter solenoid. 12 mm. Careful, counter clockwise, do not force it! There is also a smaller wire with a green connector which you must also disconnect.

The V-6, same scenario: Disconnect the ground from the battery. Disconnect the positive cable from the starter along with the smaller wire. The green connector on many of then, you just pinch at the back and gently pull. The bolts are from the back side. The top one is a pain, but a long extension and a universal will get it done. Use a 12 inch breaker bar so you do not bust your knuckles! I am doing this from memory as I haven't done either in over 10 years.

I think it maybe my alternator any recalls

There are 2 recalls that have been issued on your model and year vehicle, none related to the alternator. Go to this site and review the recalled parts and make sure your vehicle has been repaired and is safe. Good luck!

My battery went dead after only 16,000 miles- I have the car for 2 years, 6 months. Is there a recall notice out on the charging system or battery used in the Milans. It's a 2007 Milan 6 cyl AWD model

no there is not a recall on your milan, only on the monterey for after market fuel filters. The fact of the matter is they just don't build them like they used to. So Its probably your alternator thats the number one probable cause.. hope this helps and god bless.
