The fuse for the fuel pump is pretty much the toggle switch between tanks, if that goes out, you will not have either tank.. IF you had an accident, there is a kill switch somewhere behind the dash on that truck that disables the fuel pump and must be reset.

SOURCE: The fuel pump is not turning on. Which relay is

Hi.

It is located along with other relays on the right hand side of the firewall. There you find a bracket holding the four relays for Pump, AC, Blower, and Radiator Fan. There is also a fuel pump fuse that must be checked. It is located near to the relay. See the diagram below.

SOURCE: 96 chevy truck, fuel pump relay switch (located under the hood, driver's side wheel well) keeps shorting out and melting fuse panel

I would replace the fuel pump and the fuel pump connector, both have problems in this year that cause excessive current draw and blow the fuse and overheat the system. If the relay socket terminals are discolored from heat that must be replaced as well. Of course before replacing any parts have a GM dealer confirm the problems i have guessed are to the cause.

Where is the fuel pump fuse on a 2002 kia optima located

Most Kia cars have fuse boxes that are well labelled. One is located in the engine bay. The other is in the passenger compartment, under the dashboard, either driver's side or passenger side. Check the fuel pump relay if you have confirmed that your fuel pump is not receiving +12V at the connector end. Some models have the relay as part of the main relay. Some have individual relays. These relays are located nearest to the ECU behind center console, screwed to the posts at the sides of the console.

Where is the location of fuel pamp electric fuses

If Its under the hood
  • Raise the hood of your car and look near the battery for a black, plastic box. Unsnap the lid and raise the cover. On the inside of the lid there should be a schematic of the fuse orientation, and inside this box there should be an array of circuit breakers, fuses and relays arranged according to the schematic. One of the small, black relays is likely to control the fuel pump. Near the relay there is also typically a red, 10-amp fuse labeled "FUEL," "F/P" or "FUEL PUMP." If not, check under the dashboard.
If its under the Dashboard
  • Use a flashlight to look under the dashboard. In most cases, there should be a lower cover to access the fuse panel. Remove the cover with a small screwdriver and pull the lid off of the fuse panel. On the inside of the lid there should be a label that identifies the fuse arrangement, similar to the label on the power center under the hood. Look for the same lettering that designates the fuel pump fuse. If the fuse is not there, look in the specialty fuse panels.

I need to find the fuel pump relay for 99 mercury cougar 2.5

I have found fuel pump relays for various vehicles usually under the hood, in a plastic covered relay enclosure on the fender well, or along side the fuse box under the dashboard. Not sure where yours is, but maybe worth peeking in these 2 places.

MY FUEL PUMP DOESNT RUN,WHAT SHALL I DO?

There should be a fuse and/or relay either under the hood or dashboard i would start there first. Have someone check. Make sure its not the fuses before you have the fuel pump replaced.

You should have a relay or a fuse, I forgot the number but it is located under the hood of the vehicle, the fuse may be located itself under the drivers dashboard

Location of fuel pump relay

The fuel pump relay or fuse will be located under the hood in the High Current fuse panel. Most fuel-pump relay units are located under the dashboard near the steering column. In some cases, the unit is located in the area where the steering column is mounted or near the engine's firewall. The end of the fuel pump relay is typically located near the center of the floorboard, under the carpet in the front section of the passenger's or driver's side foot-well.If you would have mentioned the exact for car model and exact year of the for car, then it would have helped us to give you more perfect detail. But still in most of the ford car this is the location of the fuel pump relay.

No power to the fuel pump

well actually there are 2 things that can cause this.. I'll list them both and the fix,,

1.) fuse.. There are 1 / 2 fuses that protect the fuel pump.. The first is the in fuse panel under the hood. Under the fuse panel cover is a diagram showing which fuse is which.. Simply replace that fuse..
the second fuse if any (some vehicles have them) is in the kick panel under the dash board. Just like the fuse box under the hood, the cover has a diagram showing which fuse is which .. simply replace it..

2.) the second most common problem is the relay.. There are 2 locations that the relay will be ,, The first is in the fuse panel under the hood. look at the diagram to determine the fuel pump relay and change it.. The second location id under the dashboard.. Locate the cars computer under the dash,, and you will notice 4 - 5 wires connecting to a relay box,, thats the pump relay,, simply open the box and replace the relay..

Now if both thge above isnt your problem the relay is controlled by the ignition switch (tumbler), now what happens is this trips the relay to tun on the pump,, The switch may be shorting or damaged or the wires fallen off,, replace the switch,, (this is a very rare issue)..

good luck..

Location of fuel pump relay (1990 hyundai sonata)

The fuse box is located low on the left side of the dashboard behind a cover, or at the left side kick panel, behind a cover.

Relay Box -is located under the left side of the dash as well.

Motor running in the back of an 89 gta 5.7 t.p.i.

The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank which is in the rear of the car. It's powered by an electric motor. Check the owner's manual for location of fuses and relays. Some are located under the hood (either on the fender or firewall), others are under the dashboard (near your left foot), on the side of the dashboard (look for cover on side of dashboard with driver's door open) or even inside the glove compartment (if you have one). That sound of a motor running is normal, and may be louder if the tank is close to empty.
