Temp sensor is located on drivers side of engine. Look through the drivers side wheel well, will be a brass fitting.

just went through the same thing in my 99 silverado.could see acctuators working also,but i still had to change" mode" acctuator as it was only operating on 2 modes not all 5

I have 1999 GMC Jimmy. It had the 4.3 Vortec in it, would I be able to it out with 4.3 Vortec in a 1994 GMC Jimmy.


The engine will match up but the sensor plugs may not so you may have to swap the sensors between the engines.

cam sensor is in the distributor. also know as the pick-up assembly.

THIS IS A FUEL TANK PRESSURE SENSOR CODE. MOST LIKELY THE SENSOR ITSELF IS BAD BUT CHECK THE WIRING AND THE ECM.

i have came across this on one of these before and it was the element that heats the seat had broken ,and ive had one where it was an electrical problem (switch )

Camshaft sensor


the cam sensor for 1999 jimmy with a 4.3L is in the distributer. pull off cap and rotor then unplug cam sensor and remove. please rate this answer
