What can cause my 2003 Nissan Altima to not cranck sometimes and sometimes it will if the engina is running a while and I cut it off it will not crank back up what could be the problem

Most likely, your starter is failing. Change it before it dies completely. Less likely, you may have a safety interlock (neutral selector switch or clutch switch) that is failing.

My 2005 nissan altima won't crank or turnover. It justs makes this clicking noise. Can you help me?

The click is most likely the starter solenoid you hear

Should be a familiar sound you've heard may times
on other cars

I would guess you know how old the battery is?

If it is original,it is 8 years old & dead,if so, replace it

If it is only 3 years old ,check the voltage with a meter

Next the solenoid could be working as you hear it,but
it's contacts are burnt,it can be replaced

You remove the starter & change the solenoid

Don't want to do that, buy the entire starter at auto parts,
not a dealer, cost too much to even be there for any reason.

2005 Altima won't start, hear clicking sound coming from fuse box,key stuck in ingintion, won;t turn over, tried to jump start.

the clicking that you hear is coming from the starter relay. sounds like your ignition starter switch or ignition lock cylinder is bad.

My 1997 Nissan altima wont crank over

Test battery, and check for loose connections. Check starter fuse & relay. If you don't hear clicking sounds while trying to start the car then most likely it's a bad starter relay. If your getting voltage to the starter but no click then you have bad starter.

My 1995 nissan altima wont start, it has power but wont do anything when you turn the key. What could be the problem?

I am assuming that the starter will not crank over when you turn the key.It sounds like the starter solenoid is toast.Get a meter and see if there is power to the solenoid when you turn the key.It will be the smaller gauge wire .If you have power to the solenoid and you get no cranking then you will have to replace the starter(they are one unit)

94 altima will not start.

If you hear clicking, that eliminates safety circuitry. If you have great battery power, thpically there is an issue inside the starter. It takes a fair amount of amps to fire a starter and those contacts evnetually build up carbon and intermittantly fail.

You did not mention how old the starter is. If old, replace or rebuild and specifically test and examine the armature. When over cranked, they short and some positions no longer pass current correctly. Other times it will work.

Long story short, easiest to just replace it, you do not want to get stuck..

I have Manual Nissan Altima 1997. It does not crank.

If you can hear the starter solenoid click, when you turn the key to start, then check that the large positive wire going to the starter solenoid from the battery has a good contact at each end. If you don't hear the solenoid click, then check that the small wire going to the starter solenoid has a good contact and power.

I have nissan altima 1997. It does not at all crank. It starts when pushed. I changed the battery.

I'm guessing that you have a manual transmission since you said it starts when pushed. Your best bet would be to check your neutral safety switch which is directly behind your clutch pedal. make sure gear selector is in neutral you may try moving the wires around (sometimes they may lose their connection)while pushing the button in and attempting to start the vehicle. Also when you turn your key to crank your vehicle does your engine turn over and just doesn't start or does nothing at all happen. There are a few possible variables if your could describe everything that does or does not happen.
