1. Remove the drive belt.
(Refer to Timing System - "Drive Belt") 2. Remove the A/C compressor.
(Refer to Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning - "Compressor") 3. Remove the A/C compressor bracket (A). 4. Drain the engine oil. 5. Remove the oil pan (A). Insert the blade of SST (09215-3C000) between the ladder frame and oil pan. Cut off applied sealer and remove the lower oil pan. • Insert the SST between the oil pan and the ladder frame by tapping it with a plastic hammer in the direction of arrow. • After tapping the SST with a plastic hammer along the direction of arrow around more than 2/3 edge of the oil pan, remove it from the ladder frame. • Do not turn over the SST abruptly without tapping. It be result in damage of the SST.

2011 KIA Sorrento 2.4 were is the fuel pressure regulator located. put on adjustable fuel reg .need to disconnect stock one

fuel pressure regulators are normally located in the fuel manifold. They are either vacuum controlled or electronic controlled to maintain the right fuel pressure for engine requirements and to shut off the fuel pump when the ignition is turned off
If your manually adjusted unit will not do all that then you are asking for fault codes to appear and all sorts of problems to occur

How to check if oil pump is bad on 03 kia sorento

Hi Rodney. Can you tell me what makes you think the oil pump might be faulty. Is your motor noisy at idle ? How often is the car serviced ? Do you know what grade of oil has been used ? Do you have a "check engine" light on the dash ?
If you can fill me in with a few more details I'll be more than happy to help you :)
Cheers Peter Smith

03 kia sorento Engine knocking after replacing water pump oil pump and timing belt

Who did the work? take it back. If it's DIY double check your work. Knoking as in metalic engine , or knocking as in gas preignition. If gas preignition, timing belt is off a few notches. If it's similar to this google: 2003 kia sorento interference engine
You may have valve timing off so much that your pistons are running into the valves. Bad news!

Where is the engine oil drain plug? fill in too much oil. what happen? Kia Sorento 2003 petrol.

The plug is on the bottom of the engine, in the oil pan. Usually a 15 mm wrench will take it off. Over filling can cause it to smoke and other problems over time. If your a quart or two over , yes you need to drain it. If it is about an 1/8" or less over on the dipstick, I wouldn't worry about it

the filter is inside the drain pan so you need to remove the pan. its just a bunch of 10mm bolts and 1 bolt holding the dipstick tube in place. get a new pan gasket also.

WHAT OIL FOR 2005 KIA SORRENTO..PLEASE!

In the Owners manual is stated:
For better fuel economy, it is recommended to use the engine oil of
a viscosity grade SAE 5W-20 (API SM / ILSAC GF-4). However, if the engine oil is not available in your country, select the the proper engine oil engine oil using the engine oil viscosity chart.
What brand of oil to use is up to you. Castrol 5W-20 GTX, Pennzoil, Valvoline, or you can go up to Mobile 1, which is more expensive. If you change oil every 3000miles or 3 months, then you may not use synthetic oil, but it is up to you. My personal opinion is:
It is better to change 5W-20 Castrol GTX every 3 months or 3000miles than fully synthetic Mobil1 5W-20 every 6months or 6000miles.

global1207_0.gif

You can use 5W-20 all year around, but when you Kia Sorento will accumulate miles, and engine start to wear up, thicker 10W-30 is a suitable substitute. If the temperature will be 20F and expected to fall you must not use 10W-30, and will have 5W-20 in your Kia Sorento Oil PAN. The reason is that, when you start the engine the oil is in the Oil Pan, and 10w-30 is very thick in low temperatures. Till the oil warms up the engine wears up extensively.
