My car is overheating... I have replaced hose outlet, cap, Thermostat, fan, fan relays, radiator, and the problem is still there... any clue?

Although I have no heard of this happening on your particular car, there is one thing.
When the car is warm, have someone who is extremely careful feel the lower radiator hose whilst the motor is running.
Some cars will have a tired and soft lower radiator hose that will suck together when the engine is revved.
This normally does not happen whilst the car is in the driveway, you actually have to have it running down the street, so it would not normally be noticeable just by revving the engine .

sound like the impelled in your water pump may have failed. Or your system is air bound. Try to open the rad cap when its cold and let it run and see if air bubbles come to the top

Find Causes of Engine Overheating
If your engine is overheating, Try this procedure:
  • Dirt and debris can get lodged in the radiator air flow paths. This can block the radiator and cause your engine to overheat and damage the engine.

  • The thermostat can be stuck close. If you feel the upper hose very hot and the lower hose cooler than normal, it may be a stuck thermostat.

  • Make sure the radiator and the overflow bottle are filled to the proper levels.

  • Bleed air from the coolant system:This is best done by running the engine with the radiator cap off until you see when the air bubbles stop coming up.

  • Check the radiator fans: The easiest way is to turn on the cars air conditioner and turn up the A/C fans. Both radiator fans should come on when the A/C starts

  • Make a pressure test by using a pressure testing tool (available at most auto parts stores). Use the pressure shown on your radiator cap. Most cars are 16 PSI or less, so don't exceed that pressure. Replace the radiator cap if it doesn't hold the pressure.

Radiator Coolant fans are still not working even


The engine computer grounds the relay to make the fan run. Will the fan run if you bypass the computer and ground the relay ?

2000 Dodge Durango getting over heated


Never use a used radiator... check electric cooling fan, and air must be purged out of the radiator / cooling system after refilling it, this can be a little difficult. are you sure that it is not leaking coolant from somewhere else, which would cause the overheating.?

if the fan electric fan is not comining on, you need to check the fan motor to see if your motor is bad on the fan. check it by running a hot wire directly from your car battery to the fan elecrtic plug.

Now that you've eliminated the thermostat, it could be a number of other things. Don't drive the car too far until you've fixed the overheating problem - overheating can destroy an engine.

That split ribbed hose you see is plastic wire loom - it carries and protects electrical wires, and is not the cause of overheating.

1. Low coolant level
2. Radiator hose split/cracked, causing low coolant level.
3. Head Gasket - leaking, causing low coolant level
4. Thermostat - stuck closed (you eliminated this possibility)
5. Radiator cap - worn/damaged
6. Radiator fins - obstructed by debris/cardboard
7. Water Pump belt - missing/broken
8. Heater Core - leaking, causing low coolant level
9. Intake Manifold Gasket - leaking, worn, damaged
10. Radiator Fan Relay - faulty
11. Radiator Fan Blade - broken, missing
12. Radiator Fan Sensor/Switch - faulty
13. Water Pump - leaking, causing low coolant level
14. Radiator Fan Motor - faulty

My primary suspects would be Rad Fan Relay (#10), and
Rad Fan Switch (#12).

Engine running hot


CHECK ENGINE COOLANT LEVEL.IF OKAY.CHECK BOTH RADIATOR HOSES BOTH SHOULD BE HOT. IF THERMOSTAT TOP HOSE NOT HOT YOU HAVE A FAULTY THERMOSTAT AND RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP IF RADIATOR HOSES HOT AND THERMOSTAT OKAY.IF ENGINE OVERHEATING WHILE CAR SITTING IN A LONG TRAFFIC LINE COOLANT FANS NOT RUNNING.THE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR IS BAD OR YOU HAVE FAULTY FUSE OR RELAY.THE FAN MOTOR DEFECTIVE, WIRES AT MOTOR HAS A SHORT OR PCM FAILURE DEAD DRIVE CIRCUIT TO FAN.

Overheating


there is a coolant cap on the overflow bottle check it for seal
i'd just replace it
also if you put the new thermostat in backward the overheating would be significant
