What year and model Dodge dakotas can I interchange with my 2002 dodge Dakota 5.9 RT

1997-2004 you have all the parts you need if you find any of these models, that between the body you get, and your totalted dodge, you have a very wide selection to choose. You may be able to go back even earlier, but to make the swap easier, I tried to stay within your bodystyle, and I think you should too. If you do this you will have several body parts that will interchnage. Basically if the body you get looks like your truck, it will be the easiest.

Can I use a 1995 Dakota 2X4 3.9 V6 to swap the engine into my 1999 Dakota 4X4 Sport? If so do I have to do mods for emissions and such. Also any other parts I can use to swap over?

You will probably need the ECM and all the electronics unless you have a 3.9 in your 99. The Engine management will be different. as will the transmission and powertrain computers of each truck(2vs4 wheel drive, different differental gears). It is best when doing a swap to have both vechicals in case you need something else. Then you need patience and extra cash.

I would like to know what years interchange with my truck? I have a 1995 Chevy Silverado 4x4. I am mainly concerned with the body parts. I would also like to know what motors will interchange with my...

any body parts from 1988-1998 will interchange.(except box parts stepside vs fleetside Grilles and head light/front signal lights differ from year to year but an newer grille can be put on an older truck as long as both trucks have the same headlights) As for the complete engine you can use any throttle body engine from another truck But you are best to keep the computer or at least the chip with the corresponding engine. the computer can be found behind the glove box. I believe the ones that will work with your 94 are 1988-1995
Hope this helps!
