Front end shaking violently when braking

Hi BM, When you press the brake pedal do you feel a kickback or a pumping action against your foot? If so the problem is with the brake discs. they will need skimming or replacing. If you do not feel the pumping action, have the tyres and the front end checked, looking for wear in the suspension rubber bushing, ball joints, tie rod ends, rack ends, and any damage to the front superstructure. The shock absorbers can also cause a bouncing and thereby instability when braking. Regards John

I HAVE A MANUEL 2003 CTS.WHILE DRIVING THE CLUTCH WENT DOWN LIKE A 1/4 WAYS TO FLOOR FEELS REAL WEAK.I KNOW ITS HYDRALIC .FEELS LIKE THERES AIR IN THE LINE .LIKE IT NEEDS BLEEDING LIKE...

Unfortunately, it sounds like your pressure plate is going bad. That is the larger part in the following picture. When you depress the clutch pedal it pushes the throw out bearing (the smallest round part) against those center "feelers" and that disconnects the clutch (the next size down round plate) from your engine flywheel.

Normally you would replace all three parts at the same time.

The manual does not show wear the power steering cap is and it does not show looking at the engine with hood open. Can anyone tell me where it is? This is for a 1998 Buick Lesabre Limited

Go to the passenger side under the hood. Look down and back up almost against the firewall. It's down low on the back of the engine. You will need a spout funnel and a flashlight to add fluid.

Steering issues: i can feel a binding/clunking in the steering wheel of my 2007 chrysler sebring as i turn left or right, stop, and at accelerating? i do not know WHAT this is and have had extensive work...

Did they replace entire strut & spring assy, with new, or just do struts? Feel where spring of strut sits on strut base at bottom & see if you can feel piece of thin rubber between spring & base of strut, or if spring is up against the edge of the base (seat). Sometimes I've seen the rubber between them move and cause spring to rub up against the seat or base of strut, (meatl on metal) especially when turning.
