Any object that has a length has one dimension. A length and width, has two. A length, a width, and a height, has three. An object that actually exists from the time it came into existence until it ceases to exist has a duration, the fourth dimension. The remaining theoretical dimensions proposed by superstring theory exist but we cannot sense them, although the math that describes our theory of physics says they are too small for us to percieve.

My 1998 matrix pops out of fourth gear. Drives fine in every other gear. Replaced the clutch last year, and it works fine in every other gear.

There is a detent that holds it in gear and it is either bad due to wear or getting to much pressure against it from the gear train. Time for an overhaul.

1997 Chevy P-32 step van (panel van, delivery van) with 4L80-E transmission: Truck drives and shifts properly in gears one through three, but slips as soon as it shifts into fourth. It will not pull at all...

the fourth clutch is burnt probably due to a bad 4th clutch piston seal... if you can get a good trans that cheap then you should just put one in it unless you are familiar with internal trans repairs...
