SOURCE: signal lights don't work, I've changed the fuses..1996vw jetta

Most likely a bad turn signal flasher . if the flasher is proper then check out if the socket where you insert the bulb is getting proper voltage.if not change that socket.

Does it have play in north/south , or west/east direction? Get the bearings and tie rods checked depending on if play is up/down or right/left .... After fixing, get another alignment done if it is bad or if tie rods are replaced.

The car is shaking at 40 to 50 km/h and 90 to 100 km/h

that shaking is misfire,
the engine can in fact do that for 50 reasons.
there are 3 basic tests to find which path.
bad engine tests. (compression)
bad spark (ever tune it up in last 9 years?)
bad fueling, (too much or too little) lots of tests. to find this.....ask

1157 is lean (lean misfire is results) Oxy sensor railed lean.
Id work this first.
Id also reset the ecu, (scan tool) and drive 20 miles see if all these come back.

1009 ( just happed or ignored for long time? )
P1009 Honda - Variable Valve Timing Control Advance Malfunction0122 (my guess, been play with throttle stops, that mess up TPS calibration)
Throttle Position Sensor 'A' Circuit Low Voltage0113
Intake Air Temperature Sensor Circuit High Voltage(113 ran engine with IAT unplugged, is my guess.

2003 be jetta won't go more than 20 mph

Hi there? It sounds like the car is ranning on limp mode. Is the engine managment light on? if so, the air flow meter can cause this simptons. If you disconnect the air flow meter which is located next to the air filter box, it should improve it if it is disconnected, don't worry this will not cause any problems.
If it improves it by disconnecting the air flow meter then you'll need a new air flow meter..
Good luck......

Left front tire wobbles any ideas on what it is i replaced the axle and now it wobbles

Two options to try first; tire is not on tight, or the ball joint is bad. Either is an easy and cheap fix. Try the tire first, make sure all the lug nuts are tight. If so, it is your ball joint. Imagine a ping pong ball with a screw sticking out of the bottom of it. That is the ball joint. jack up the car, try to wiggle the tire, if the ball joint has a lot of play that if definitely the problem. Not expensive to fix either. If the tire/wheel doesn't go back and forth (has a lot of play) you should take it to a mechanic to see if the tie rods are on correctly. Good Luck!

I just got my hands on a 95 Pathfinder. The front tires have a lot of wear on the inside edges. I was told by seller that this is caused by driving on pavement in 4WD. As this is my first 4x4, I wasn't...

I'm guessing the lower ball joints are shot. This will cause the tires to lean in on the top and and wear the inside of the tire. I could be wrong! Try jacking the front wheels up and support the vehicle on jack stands, now grab the tire top and bottom and try to rock it in and out. If there is movement, you will have to have someone watch to see what is moving, while you rock it. If it's the ball joints, they will need to be replaced before you can align it. This can be spendy, there's a lot of labor involved.

Front end shaking on 2004 jetta

Probably the tires. I had the same problem the front end was shaking badly, I had tire with usable tread on them but they were cheap korean tires, I swapped for michelins and the shake went away completely. If the tires are new, have them rebalanced, my wife's car tires were out of balance in only 5,000 miles.

Too rule out mechanical, while on the jack stand, grab the tire on the sides and try to move the wheels side to side. Do the same by grabbin the top and bottom of the tire to see if there is any movement. the movement should be Minimal. If there is a lot of movement, it could be the ball joints or the tie rods. My shake was so bad that this is what I thought was wrong with mine. Glad I changed the tires first.

High pitch squell left front tire

Could be a worn out cv joint. When the bearings go they make a lot of noise. Jack the car up and try to move the tire left and right, see if there is a lot of play in it. If not, take the tire off and check your brake pads as emissionwiz has previously stated.
