My 99 dodge 5.9 r/t started shaking after setting for two weeks and I have changed the plugs and put injector cleaner in the fuel and checked the u* joints, any ideas?

You really need to check the Distributer Cap/Rotor/and Wires. There could be moisture around or in the Cap. The Distributor Cap is really rough to get at. You can't see it very well. If those are original plug wires - they are more than likely in need of replacement. If there is a date printed on the wires they are factory installed. Distributor Rotors can also short through to ground.

Have a 90 Chevy 1500 with a 4.3 v6 and a 5 speed I the pickup was running fine left from work no problems then get off the interstate. And the running really rough I drove it to work the next day same...

Did you change the plugs in it, In That old of a truck depending on the miles on ot , If i had it i would be putting on a new cap and rotor, Not trying to clean it up, Allso it could be the control mudle breaking down, If it was never change, There could be a problem with the fuel (Injecters) Or throtle body.

You have likely crossed some of the ignition wires. Recheck your firing order and wire placement.

I fixed my transmission and its still missfiring, what can it be

Tranmissions don't misfire - they are just a bunch of gears.
You're engine can be misfiring - replace the spark plugs, plug wires, and cap and rotor.

I have to put the plug wires back on the distributor.

okay remove your driverside sparkplug the one closes to the front this should be #1 piston put a screw driver in the hole but dont let it bind, slowly click the starter until the srew driver come up all the way up this is top dead center TDC now look at the rotor and where the cap lines up this #1 second is#8 piston on the pass side closes to the fire wall or cab so, on the engine #1 piston234 onthe driver side 5678 on the pass side and in order on the cap it should be 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2 also make sure you didnt drop the dist in wrong and hav it 180 degrees backwards dont get frustated stop and try again later also make sure this is the right firing order for your dodge i gave you a chevy fire order but i am almost positve this is the order for all v8s

Two of the plug wires got switched and i dont know which ones. its a 99 durango slt with 5.2 liter. if i had a picture or diagram to tell me where each plug wire goes i could fix.

the firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 , distributor spins clockwise, so find number one on the distributor cap and then the next cylinder will be #8 and so on in a clockwise direction

99 5.2 durango :pulled codes for multipe missfire cylinder #5-7

Aloha We have just replaced all of what you have replaced, plus water pump, fuel pump, pcv valve and 02 sensor. Took it to mechanic today we had misfire on 1,2,6,7. Mechanic said that the 99 dodge is known for bad computers, he checked ours and works great turns out that it was the coil. Ours was jumping 1/4 inch and had a orange/yellow spark. it is supposed to have a 1 inch spark and be blue. This has solved our problems after 527 dollars later.
Check the coil!
