How to change water pump on a 2009 Ford Fusion


2.3L Engine

Specific to:
Ford Fusion 2008-2009
Mercury Milan 2008-2009
  1. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  2. Drain the cooling system.
  3. Loosen the 3 coolant pump pulley bolts.
  4. Remove the accessory drive belt.
  5. Remove the 3 bolts and the coolant pump pulley.
    1. To install, tighten to 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm).
  6. Remove the 3 bolts and the coolant pump.
  7. Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
    1. To install, tighten to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).

To install:
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  2. Lubricate the O-ring seal with clean engine coolant.
  3. Fill and bleed the cooling system

3.0L Engine

Specific to:
Ford Fusion 2008-2009
Mercury Milan 2008-2009
  1. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  2. Drain the cooling system.
  3. Remove the coolant pump belt.
  4. Using Special tool 303-S455, or equivalent, remove the coolant pump drive pulley.

5, Disconnect the heater hose from the coolant pump.
6. Disconnect the coolant pump-to-engine hose and position aside.
7. Remove the 3 bolts from the coolant pump assembly.
8. Reposition the coolant pump-to-thermostat housing hose clamp and remove the coolant pump and hose as an assembly.

To install:
  1. Connect the coolant pump-to-thermostat housing hose and reposition the clamp.
  2. Position the coolant pump assembly and install the 3 bolts:
    1. Tighten to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
    2. Tighten the 3 bolts an additional 90 degrees.
  3. Connect the coolant pump-to-engine hose and the heater hose.
    NOTE
    Install the coolant pump drive pulley flush with the end of the camshaft.
  4. Using Special tools 211-185 and 303-S455, or equivalent, install the coolant pump drive pulley.

5. Install the coolant pump belt.
6. Fill and bleed the cooling system.

2000 ford taurus-all pwr windows , pwr dr locks ,interior dome lights not working --which fuse or relay is the one--the manual dont say and the lids for the fuse boxes dont say


Here is a diagram of fuse location for your vehicle...Check fuses #211, 226, 216, and 222...I believe #216 is blown...However, check them all...Guru....Saailerd5eca4b.gif

How to replace a Jaguar X Type fron wheel bearing


Jaguar 2000-06

Wheel Bearings
Removal & Installation
  1. Remove the brake disc.
  2. Remove and discard the retaining clip. Detach the ABS sensor.
  3. Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
  4. Remove the wheel hub and bearing retaining bolts.
  5. Remove the wheel hub and bearing.
  6. Prior to applying sealer, clean the ABS sensor sealing surface and the ABS sensor aperture sealing surface.
  7. Install a new O-ring seal.
  8. Apply a 2.5mm bead of Loctite Ultra Blue 587 Silicone (RTV) sealer to the ABS sensor sealing surface.
  9. Install a new ABS sensor retaining clip.
  10. Install the hub/bearing assembly. Tighten to 90 Nm.

  1. Remove wheel knuckle.
NOTE When removing the wheel hub from the wheel knuckle the bearing will be destroyed and the bearing inner ring will remain on the wheel hub.

  1. Insert special tool 204-312 in to 204-309.
  2. Support the wheel knuckle on special tools.
NOTE Make sure wheel bearing is correctly orientated with the colored side facing inboard.
  1. Align the bearing over special tool.
  2. Using special tools, press bearing into wheel knuckle.
  3. Change special tool 204-312 to 204-313.
  4. Align the bearing and wheel knuckle over special tool.
  5. Slide wheel hub over the guide and align to the bearing.
  6. Using special tools install the wheel hub.
  7. Install the wheel knuckle.

  1. Raise front of vehicle and support on stands.
  2. Remove appropriate road wheel.
  3. Using wire or string, secure brake caliper to road spring to take weight off brake hose.
  4. Raise vehicle sufficient to provide access for special tool 204-111.
  5. Install special tool 204-111 in road spring.
  6. Slacken tool adjuster to suit spring length.
  7. Install adaptor and thrust collar.
  8. Position stem of tool in center of spring passing dowel through slot in suspension turret.

NOTE When turning tool adjuster, ensure that tool stem does not rotate and disturb position of dowel in suspension turret.
  1. Engage dowel of special tool 204-111 in suspension turret and rotate to position across slot.
  2. Lower vehicle onto stands.
  3. Rotate tool adjuster to tension spring.
  4. Remove wheel speed sensor securing screw and withdraw sensor from vertical link.
  5. Remove nut securing tie rod outer ball joint to steering arm.
  6. Release ball joint from vertical link.
  7. Install special tool 211-098 on tie rod outer ball joint.
  8. Tighten tool bolt to release taper pin from vertical link.
  9. Remove special tool from ball joint and position tie rod for access.
  10. Remove nut securing upper control arm ball joint to vertical link.

A new part with the same part number must be installed if installation is necessary. Do not use a new part of lesser quality or substitute design.   1. Remove the wheel knuckle (3K185). For additional information, refer to Wheel Knuckle in this section.

All vehicles
  1. s1h~us~en~file=ani_caut.gif~gen~ref.gif CAUTION: Discard the wheel hub retainer (3B477). It is a torque prevailing design and cannot be reused. If loosened, the retainer must be removed and a new one installed.
    NOTE: Make sure the steering wheel is in the unlocked position.
    Remove the hub cap or wheel cover, the wheel hub retainer, and the washer. Discard the retainer.
  1. Remove the front brake disc. For additional information, refer to Section 206-03 .
  1. Remove and discard the cotter pin and nut.
  1. s1h~us~en~file=ani_caut.gif~gen~ref.gif CAUTION: Do not damage the tie-rod end boot when installing the special tool.
    NOTE: Remove the adapter from the ball end of the special tool. Apply a small amount of grease to the tie-rod end stud and the ball of the special tool.
    Using the special tools, disconnect the tie-rod end.
Vehicles equipped with ABS
  1. Remove the bolt and detach the ABS sensor.
  1. Unclip the ABS sensor wire retainer and position the sensor out of the way.
All vehicles
  1. Remove and discard the nut.
  1. Remove and discard the nut.
  1. Using the special tools, disconnect the ball joint from the lower arm.
  1. Using a pry bar, push the lower arm down until the ball joint is free of the arm.
  1. s1h~us~en~file=ani_caut.gif~gen~ref.gif CAUTION: Do not allow the halfshaft to move outboard. Over-extension of the tripod CV joint can result in separation of internal parts, causing failure of the halfshaft.
    NOTE: Hold the threaded rod while turning the nut.
    Using the special tools, press the halfshaft from the wheel bearing and hub. Wire the halfshaft in a level position.
  1. Remove the flag bolt and the knuckle.
  1. If necessary, remove the wheel hub and bearing. For additional information, refer to Wheel Bearing and Hub in this section.
  1. s1h~us~en~file=ani_caut.gif~gen~ref.gif CAUTION: Use care not to damage the knuckle or dust shield when drilling out the rivets.
    If necessary, remove the dust shield.
    1. Using a 5.5 mm (0.22 in) drill bit, drill out the rivets. If a larger bit is needed, do not use a bit larger than 6 mm (0.24 in).
    1. Remove the dust shield.

  1. s1h~us~en~file=ani_caut.gif~gen~ref.gif CAUTION: The wheel bearing and hub is not pressed into the knuckle. Do not use a slide hammer or strike the inner race of the bearing. Damage to the bearing can result.
    NOTE: If necessary, lubricate the knuckle and bearing with rust inhibitor meeting Ford specification.
    Remove the bolts and the wheel hub and bearing (1104). Discard the bolts.
  1. s1h~us~en~file=ani_caut.gif~gen~ref.gif CAUTION: The knuckle bore must be clean enough to allow the wheel bearing and hub to seat completely by hand. Do not press or draw the wheel hub and bearing into place.
    Clean and inspect the knuckle bearing bore. If the knuckle is cracked, install a new knuckle.
  1. Lubricate the knuckle bearing bore with anti-seize lubricant meeting Ford specification.
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Need schematic of tachometer; housing says MY89 6 cyl. 56002915 and 1 211 009 688A I can't find wiring diagram so ?I can connect to another engine. Any one have diagram? Thanks, Dave Pueblo, CO


Tachs are really not that expensive... problem with the tach from your jeep is that it's not connected to the ign coil in a traditional sense, instead, it is connected to the engine control module, which may contain part of what would normally be found inside a seperate unit, making your tach, basically a volt meter with a different scale on it.
Before taking it apart and rendering it useless for anything, I'd get a tach made for use on the vehicle you intend to put it in.
