There's only one evaporator core, so if you're getting cold on one side and not the other, then the blend door isn't working on the warm side. The actuator motor may be working but the door might not be moving.
Blend air door actuator (temp)on left side of heater box near the gas pedal below it may be the mode door & passenger side has a temp door actuator for that side.
first make sure coolant is full if not u wont get heat , also make sure temp gauge is in the normal operating range in the middle if not thermostat is sticking open if that all checks out u got a blend door actuator failed n staying on cold setting
there is a drivers blend door actuator. the actuators are know to go bad. I know in toronto the dealer wants 80 bucks for the part. it easy to change. save yourself the money and do it yourself if you can
You need to replace the "blend" door actuator motor on the pass side. I recommend getting that from your nearest gm dealer to ensure proper fit. When you adjust the air from cold to warm to hot, the blend door moves to direct the right amount of cold, or warm, or hot air your desire on that side of the vehicle
Actuator motors either get a tear in the rubber or a hose is broken and not letting vacuum assist in its opening.
You can try moving the lever by hand and see if the air gets colder on the bad side.
