Check ECM (engine computer) located under glove box. Injector circuit output probably dead. Replace ECM. Go to Searchparts.com for best price.

Check the gearbox oil level with the engine running at the filler plug on the gearbox rhs.Fluid should just drip out when it's warm(not hot)refill if nothing comes out.If this is fine , have someone read fault codes on the gearbox , the temp. sensor could be faulty.

SOURCE: 1966 Ford Mustang Gas Guage not working

I had a similar problem. In my 1966 Mustang gas tank, the fuel pick-up was on a "float." My float developed a hole, filled with gasoline, and sank to the bottom of the tank, therefore, the gauge always read empty, but the car ran well. All the other gauges of course worked correctly. The repair was a relatively simple soldering job (after removing the float from the tank), but if that is indeed the problem, ensure all the gasoline is drained from the float before beginning the soldering job.

Probably a problem with the LCM - lighting control module . The main light switch is a input to the (LCM) . Here is free wiring diagrams http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter your vehicle info. Year , make , model an engine size . Under system click on lighting , under subsystem click on insturment panel lamps . Click the search button then the blue link . Do you know how to test PWM ,this is how the LCM controls the lights .
Pulse-width modulation Pulse-width modulation (PWM), or pulse-duration modulation (PDM), is a modulation technique used to encode a message into a pulsing signal. Although this modulation technique can be used to encode information for transmission, its main use is to allow the control of the power supplied to electrical devices, especially to inertial loads such as motors an lighting .

The headlights pulse while the engine is running

Pulse? you mean the elevation mechanism is oscillating? or the lights go dim and then bright like you were constantly on the dimming switch? if this, there is a dimming switch/relay that operates from a single pulse from your driver's dimming switch. I am guessing you have a cross over from power supply and engine vibration does the pulse. Follow the headlight wire back from to a little box, probably metal. Check all connections and possible crossover. It could be within the switch and going haywire. You may be able to listen to the continuous clicking. You may be able to rebuild it, but may not be worth it. So buy a new one. If it's the elevation mechanism, there may be a similar relay for the motor but connected to the lights on switch. There may be a faulty relay, or again viabrating donnection with a make break operation.

Truck shuts off while driving

Check the fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge, when the truck stops See if the fuel injectors are getting a pulse with a niod light plugged into the harness "while cranking. motor". IF you get no pulses (NO flashing noid light) see if the security light is ON, on the dash. If the security system "kicks on" it will kill the pulses to the injectors.

Engine and lights are pulsing

lights are pulsing because the engine is so the alternator brights the light s as the engine runs faster and dims when it runs slower. the lights are not part of the problem. there are many things that will make an engine do this, probably a sensor like oxygen sensor or some other. is the check engine light on? either way it needs to go to a garage

My headlights, dash lights, and interior lights started to pulse the other day. I had the battery replaced and the alternator checked (twice) and it passed both times. The ground wire is connected fin

Hmm...odd. You've had the alternator checked, but did you inspect the belt? Might be slipping under load. Check your owners manual to see if all of the affected circuits share a common fuse. If so, replace the fuse and clean the connections in the fuse slot as best as you can. The last thing would be to take it to a dealer, have them hook up to their diagnostics machine and see if a code pops up. If its a random pulse it might be a loose connection somewhere (harness connectors, etc.) if its a steady pulse it has to be in the charging circuit or in the ignition circuit.
Oh, one last thing to check: most modern cars have an drain loop to protect the ECM from electromagnetic induced "noise". It should be a wire in your harness (probably not insulated) that makes a loop around the engine compartment. It should be grounded at both ends, probably at the same place on the case of your ECM. You can do a search on the internet to verify that your car has one, where it is and what it looks like. If it does, and you find it, check to make sure it has a good connection to ground, and that the loop is still intact.
Good luck.

My injectors arent pulsing on my 1989 k1500 suburban. I have 12 volt power to the injectors and have replaced the module in the distributior. Any one have an anwser for me

The injector ground circuit must not be working. What causes the pulse is when the computer internally grounds the injector circuit, power is passed across the injector solenoid terminals. All the injector grounds are spliced together on each bank of engine, and run into the computer. So, injector power, but no pulsing would seem a computer malfunction as long as the ground wires are good. Did you check all the injectors for pulse with the noid light, or at least both sides of engine?

With engine running either idling or on the road the all lights, dash , headlight etc pulse and momentarly will go out. split second it has a new alternator and battery

check the battery cables away from the battery. The ground battery cable may be loose at the engine block or the positive cable may be loose at the starter solenoid on the starter. Does the engine shut off or the lights just flicker?

How to test check engine light on a 1991 honda accord? Computer has no light on it like most honda's

These utilize a jumper connector(scs) in order to retrieve codes. It's location is just a little different for different models of hondas and acuras but generally speaking there relative to one location. On your car if you go to passenger front seat area and find the lower rt hand kick panel(to rt of your foot if sitting in seat)reach your hand just to the top edge of the panel you'll find a small blue 2pin connector.sometimes its got a small piece of tape holding it loosely to a wire cluster ,just pull it free of tape. With ignition key in off position, jump terminals together at connector with jumper wire, paper clip works fine. With jumper installed turn ignition switch into on position, not start just in run position.Observe check engine light. If DTC is stored check engine light will flash in series of pulses which are numbers of DTC. One long pulse is equal to ten, short pulses equal to one, example would be one long pulse pause followed by 2 quick flashes.this would be code 12 (EGR Problem). It will repeat this set of flashes 3 times, with long long pause between each.if multiple dtc are stored each DTC will be shown once, one rt after other, than will repeat series set over again for three series repeats then light will stop flashing.
NOTE:As i was saying about scs location,it is always found on Hondas/Acuras on passenger side seat area.it will be in one of following spots. 1.at back top edge of carpet where it meets up to dash area,to back edge of (ft side)center console piece(by left foot),behind rt kick panel as above or where lower hinge side if glove box meets dash, resting in that seam.always blue or grey 2 pin connector not connected to anything.Good Luck!joel

Pulsing lights, interior, dash, headlights....

If you have a aftermarket radio system I would double check that first,
If not I would check the wire harnesses in the engine compartment,
When you're on the gas the engine tweaks and puts stress on some of the harnesses, if there is a short in the wire harness it will drop the voltage, this will confuse the alternator's voltage regulator and cause it to kick on and off.
