Jayco service centers will be able to advise, but it is probably a dry lubricant that will not hold dust and dirt
silicon spray or spray on graphite dry lubricant are possible solutions

What is the height from level ground to the bottom of the bed on a 1997 Jayco pop-up

The instructions for it are here. There is a technical drawing of it that you can use by measuring the size of a known item like the tires. There is also the contact details so you could ask Jayco.

Surely, you get in the trailer and then the bed is a standard distance off the floor. Bed and braces are shown on page 31.

Can I pull a Jayco camper trailer with my 2003 saturn vue 4 cylinder

Any vehicle can tow a trailer, but you have to think about the ability of it to brake hard if you need it to. In your case I would say no problem. A braked trailer helps.

A few things contribute to the stiff ride: 1. Tires and tire pressure... if you're running 50psi or above...that will contribute. If you aren't carrying loads, keep the tire pressure at the bottom of the recommended range. 2. aftermarket additions to the suspension- if you can contact the previous owner, you may want to ask. ei: helper springs, lift kits, special shocks 3. Empty truck bed will emphasize the bumps. Put a little ballast in the bed of your truck. I've kept sand bags or tool boxes in mine to soften the blows...

Auxiliary battery use

The extra battery is there because of the glow plugs and intake heater of the duramax. During cold weather both of these systems draw high amperage from the batteries. A single battery will function, but not as well as a pair.
