Fuse diagram

It may be easier to just disconnect the battery at night. You could even buy a disconnect switch.
The siren is powered by a 10 or 15amp fuse number 12, but you would still have the hazard lights flashing. That is a different fuse. The actual keyless entry and alarm module gets power from several sources.

raise the hood and disconnect the battery. after the dealer disables the system make sure he notes it in the owners manual so the next owner is not on this board a year from now asking about how to turn it back on.

Is there an alternate way to disarm my explorer?

Well I believe you are asking other ways to disable the alarm.
Your alarm should reset after 1-2 minutes.
If this is an aftermarkert alarm you will have a fuse that you can pull to disable the alarm either under the hood or under the dash. Some will have a toggle under the dash.
If this is a factory alarm look in the owners manual or check with your local dealer service department for which fuse to pull.
Usually all you have to do is to take the key and lock and unlock the door.
Hope this answer is to your needs.

My 2002 Ford Explorer door ajar light keeps coming on and beeping and at times setting off the alarm. The sensor on the driver's side has been changed more than once and WD-40 applications only last a week...

I would take out the door switch, cut the wires and then twist them together, tape them. And the switch is now gone an not the causeible problem anymore.

Problem with ford explorer alarm imobiliser

You should have a switch under the dash and then just turn it to the off position. If you don't or it doesn't work (like mine) then, there is 2 fuses under the dash, put the key in the ignition and turn it forward, pull one of the fuses out and then start the car that should reset it. Then you should be able to put the fuse back. Sometimes if you put the fuse back before starting it the alarm will just continue to try and reset itself, but not start the car. If that doesn't work I have a mechanic who can pull the whole alarm out and when hes done it would look like nothing has ever been installed. Hes very good. I ended having him take my alarm out when I had the same incident happen after the 2nd time.

if the door ajar light is on then get a can of PB BLASTER at your local parts store and spray all the door latch assembleys really good and open and close each door about ten to fifteen times this will usually free up the ajar switch
