How do you replace license plate bulbs on 2002 hyundai elantra

open the trunk and on the inside of yout trunk lid you will see a gray plastic socket for each light.

push in and turn the socket counter clockwise. when you feel it come loose remove it from trunk lid.

if the black rubber ring does not come off with the socket pull it off and put it on the socket so you can see where to line up the holes when you re insert the socket.

pull out the old light bulb and insert the new one.

line up the notches on the socket with the holes on the trunk lid and re insert the socket.

push in and turn clockwise to lock into place.

note: be sure to wear gloves when doing this. there are screws coming through the inside of the trunk that hold the light cover onto the outside of the trunk. the points of these screws are on both sides of the socket that holds the light bulb. since these are older cars it is likely that these screws are rusty. wearing gloves will keep you from cutting your hand on a rusty screw if you happen to slip when trying to turn the socket.

How do you remove the center console for a 1990 buick riviera? I have removed all visible screws and bolts but, the console that is closest to the dash won't budge.

The console snaps in place and the screws holds it in place to keep it from falling out. Just pull kind of hard maybe starting in one corner and when that comes loose you can see how it comes out.

How do I replace the window power motor in my 1988 lincoln town car, I can see four rivets holding the regulator and motor in place, is there an easier way other than drilling out the rivets, looks like...

Most cars American-Made at least, used rivets to hold the mechanism in place. The only way to remove and replace the motor is to drill out the rivets. You can either re-install the new motor with new rivets or most new power window motors come with sheet metal screws included to re-attach the motor to the inside door frame. Either way both methods are very secure and you should have no problems with it not being secure.

Install motor/regulator to 2000 camry solara

It easy ! You need a philips2_bing.gif and flat screw driver,8" X 4" block of wood and a needle nose pliar.
Use flat screw driver and pry out the two or three dust covers for the arm rest screws then use philips and remove the screws. Next use the flat screw driver and pry out the black plastic mirror cover from the inside of the door. Pry out the switch panel ( aka master switch panel) with the flat screw driver and disconnect it. On the side of the door panel just above the striker is this plastic push pull typeof a hold in screw. Use flat screw driver to get it to move a little then pull it out with the needle nose. Depending on which door your doing if you have a map folder ( driver or front passenger door) in the door there are two more screw to remove on the bottom of the door.
Now the inside door handle is tricky it comes out in two pieces. Use philips and get the only hold down screw you see out.( you may have to pry out al ittle screw cover first) Now the handle cover is removed by placeing the flat screw driver on the rear of the outside of the cover top and on the outside rear bottom to release the tangs that are holding it onto the panel.Pry it out lightly you may have to place the screw driver over the top of the door release button and pry that way. Don't loose your cool its a pain but it will fall out. Once its removed unhook the panel.

Next lift the plastic cover and remove the six gold2_bing.gif bolts first(For motor and regulator) Then push the window down till you see the two bolts holding the window to the regulator .Remove them, BEFORE YOU PULL OUT THE MOTOR AND REGULATOR YOU WILL SEE TWO TANGS THAT HELP HOLD THE REGULATOR AND MOTOR TO THE DOOR MARK THE RELOCATION , NOW pull out the motor and regulator have an assistant hold up the glass while you place the two blocks of wood to hold up the window. Now order your regulator and installation is in reverse. Good luck kate. Keep me posted.

The heater will not function even after setting the temp to max of 85 degrees. There is plenty of air, but cold.

Make sure plenty of antifreeze in the radiator and that you are not leaking fluid , with the motor running keeping all loose articles of clothing away from moving parts check to feel both hoses going into heater core the top and bottom should be hot if the top one is hot and the bottom one is cold you have a plugged heater core and flushing the system is required ..if both are hot make sure your vacuum lines are not dry-rotted and or cracked and that the vacuum line to the round ball under the hood is connected as well ....if so far so good you will need to access the inside under the dash and look see if the cable is connected and operating correctly it may have loosened while you turn the dial make sure the cable is actually moving the door there is a screw on top that has a bracket that holds it in place as well while yer there look to ensure the vacuum lines have not come undone ...i hope this helps you .

1997 Silverado 2500HD. The connection to the wiper motor becomes loose causing the wipers to intermittently. The motor is fine, the connection is the problem. Is there anything I can do without replacing...

This is your wiper control module that is causling the issue. This is located on the motor and only two screws are holding it in place. Remove the screws, pull the module off and replace the module. It should take ten minutes once you have the new module. Hope this helps.

1991 cutlass supreme vacuum leak

The vacuum leak is being caused by a very SMALL vacuum hose . It is located on top of the motor where the intake manifold(from the filter....follow the large flex hose) attaches to the motor. There are a total of three(3) hoses coming into some type of air controller. Two are SMALL and one is quite a bit larger. One of the SMALL vacuum hoses is the problem. EVER SO GENTLY PULL on the hose and it will probably pull out. Use a good epoxy to hold it in place and problem will be solved.
