98 cherokee fan still running

I saw the other responses, but which relay in the fuse is the fan or do I just keep pulling until the fan stops running?

Easier to pull the temperature sensor at the radiator, of unplug the fan itself if you have to.
But you need to unplug the sensor in order to determine if it is bad instead of the relay.

JETTA 1995 COOLING FAN

try pulling S19, 30 amp fuse. if nothing, try Fuse S4. if nothing, follow wire from fan to temp sensor and pull plug there. could be caused by shorted wiring. Also, there is a relay directly under the coolant expansion tank and if it's getting coolant spilled on it, that could be your "short".

Unplug the fan on sensor. It should have one green wire and one black wire. Use a paper clip and jump the two wires. Turn the key to the run position, the engine does not need to be running. Does the fan come on? If not check the green wire for 12 volts and the black wire for ground. If there is no ground than run a new ground wire. If the is no power check the heater/air conditioning fuse in the under dash fuse block. If there is power and ground make sure both the cooling fan fuses are good and both the cooling fan relays are good.

Radiater fan stays on

Rad fan is triggered by a thermo switch via a relay. Find a relay in the fuze box marked for the fan , pull it,and see if the fan stops. If it does my guess is the contacts in the relay are stuck closed and running the fan.
Replace.

Radiator fan constantly runs even when ignition is off. It continues until it drains the battery.

Under the hood should be a fuse box with a relay marked for the fan. Remove the relay and see if the fan stops running. It's possible that the relay latched and is stuck. There should be another relay in the panel that is the same as the fan relay. Try swapping them. If the fan continues to run, there could be a short underneath the fuse box (Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep were known for their fuse boxes corroding and shorting), or it's a possibility that the engine computer is telling the fan to run even when off indicating a bad computer. I would lean toward the fuse box however.

I just had the radiator fan relay replaced today because the fan would not shut off when I turned engine off. I had to pull fuse to stop fan.I Stopped for gas on way home from shop. When I restarted car,...

it sounds as if there might be a burned fuse. instead of replacing the rad fan relay i suppose they should have looked further. I'd be willing to bet they would find a faulty fan which in turn is taking out ur fuse or relay. With a faulty fan, it will require way more current to get it going then normal, overloading the circuit, blowing the fuse, or even, over loading the relay. I would be willing to bet now, you have a burned fuse due to a faulty rad fan.. good luck

My engine fan won't turn off. It runs until the battery dies. Is there anything I can check or do about this?

I suspect the cooling fan relay is stuck and letting the battery power continue to "flow".
Locatye the relay in th engine compartment fuse box ans feel if it is warm and then pull it out. the fan should stop running. If it does, replace that relay with an exact relay of the same voltage/amperage.(see your local auto parts store).
